It probably has been a bit of a slow newsweek, particularly at the end of it. However, it doesn’t mean we have to continue obsessing about the stars and their sexcapades and the analysis of their apologies, if applicable.
I don’t think the sexcapades of Tiger Woods has had so much mileage since the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky affair.
If it’s not Bill, it’s John Edwards, the Kennedy brothers or David Letterman. ENOUGH already! Who cares what they do behind closed doors, in their bedrooms? Don’t both American and Canadian Constitutions stipulate that what consenting adults do their bedroom is nobody’s business but their own? Guess it doesn’t apply to famous people.
I hear shit like, ‘Tiger Woods owes the public an apology’, to which I answer ‘apologize for what’? He may owe one to his wife and family, but that’s it. He certainly doesn’t owe the public or even his fans an apology or explanation. The only thing his fans need to worry about is whether or not he can still swing a golf club.
Sports casters and writers, aren’t the scandalous perilympics; owelympics; whatever you want to call them, in Vancouver not enough to keep you or your readers/listeners’ short attention spans?
Stop covering garbage and cover things of substance. Try to find better filler if it’s been a slow news day, week or month. Anybody who thrives on famous peoples’ sexcapades is small minded and more than likely don’t have ideal sex lives of their own. They don’t deserve to be pandered to.
