What if There Were No Black Bloc (Or Equivalent)? Moment of Truth–UPDATE

Because we’re just running around in circles over this whole Black Bloc business.

The Reverend Paperboy’s last piece over at The Woodshed and The Galloping Beaver is the last such piece I came across. The first thing that came to my mind was; even if he were a sympathizer who condoned such behavior, he owes no one an explanation. It certainly wouldn’t change who he was or what he stood for in life. It’s not the first time I’m reading such pieces and tweets over on Twitter, and frankly, with some of them (not all), I get more the impression some are trying too hard to feign indignation (to be clear; I believe Rev Paperboy is sincere; I just don’t think he owes anyone an explanation; ). A tip? Sometimes the harder you try, the less you convince. They’re (Harpercon cheerleaders, mainly) only attempting to deflect from the real, more serious issues at hand. Nothing more; nothing less.

Commenter Fillibluster gives a good argument over at The Galloping Beaver:

I don’t really see why it’s so necessary to offer disclaimers about condemning vandalism — in a normal world that would go without saying. But in this Kaftkaesque world we live in now, we already anticipate accusations that if you don’t condemn them, then you support them, which the same utter bullshit Blair used when he accused perfectly peaceful people of harbouring criminals.

We’re tripping all over ourselves, refuting accusations of either being sympathizers of the Black Bloc, being a part of them or simply condoning them. It’ time to put a stop to it. It’s a colossal waste of time, and let’s face it, they did suit the agenda for many. No, I will not really be dwelling on the Agent provocateur angle too much with this post; nor will I really dwell too much with how they (Black Bloc) may or may not have fulfilled the Harpercon agenda.

I’m about to piss off many on the left again, but, the truth hurts don’t it? But it must be faced if we expect to get anywhere.

Let’s put the question this way; what if there were no Black Bloc or any equivalent group of them for that matter?  What if all the protesters were on the Sunday behavior; all week-end long ?   Fact is, we’ll probably never know; but, I think if we’re honest with ourselves, we can make an educated guess. So let’s play pretend for a few moments, for the sake of this post, shall we?

Let’s rewind to the Friday afternoon when the eight ‘wise men’ were off to the real Muskoka by the real lake, shall we?  Below is a video from Montreal Simon;  watch the parts with the protesters, if you will.  Go here to read his accompanying post; before there was even any hint of Black Blocs or anarchists of any kind.

Simon took creative license with regards to the end of his video, but admits in his post that all ended well that day. Only about 2000 protesters showed up that Friday and appeared to be fewer in numbers than police in riot gear. Anyone seeing that in pictures or youtube videos (only place, pretty much to catch Friday afternoon, June 25  protest action; cause let’s face it, not too many tv cameras from the corporate media would have picked it up for their 6;00 or other news programs; it’s not sensational enough; might have picked it up for a slight guffaw; but nothing more; the corporate newspapers, nor News/talk radio would really have touched it; just wasn’t sexy enough).

Now, imagine that mood continued all week-end with no incident or precious little incident? Many on the left argue that that would have been the most effective way to get their voices out. Really? It’s a start and only because of social media.  About 20 years ago; even 10 years ago; highly unlikely. You and your organization would be lucky if you had a small blurb in on any page subsequent to front page of the newspaper or a blurb near the end of the 6 o’clock news.  Again, just not sexy enough for corporate media. Certainly not enough to take precedence over taking pictures of Steve and his merry band of G8/G20 thieves. It’s a sad reality, but most realities are and must be faced, unless, somebody, somehow managed to get over a fence and into the summit, but again, that would have required some sort of violent act.

Case in point;  the Cross country CAPP rallies last January. Everyone was on their best behavior. To my knowledge, while all of the venues would have had police presence, none would have been in riot gear. In fact, in Montreal, they never even left their police cars. All took place without or very little incident.  The rallies proved to be a lot of fun. It brought a lot of folks together. We got the musical stylings of the Raging Grannies.  They also got little press coverage except to discredit the movement for being a hyper partisan Harper hating fest with very low turn out; nothing more, sadly.

Just yesterday, at the Facebook group,  many were lamenting over the lack of media coverage at the lack of press coverage at their respective protests. Montreal had coverage, but there were a few minor skirmishes as well (no property damage, but there was someone from a father’s rights group who was thrown out of the march as well as an agent provocateur asking too many questions).

Commenter Croghan27 over a The Woodshed put it best:

I am not so quick to condemn the Black Bloc members.

I can see without them a very condescending pat on the head for the well behaved protesters – who are then studiously ignored.

“Now that you have done your protest thing, we can get back to the important matters at hand.”

Yes, it does show a certain incompetence on the part of police – they knew something like that would happen and they either allowed it or could not handle the reality of it – but I think what they did is important.

It does distract the MSM into reporting on the (when all is said and done) the trivial actions of a few and ignore the more profound violence being done to people by the G20 leaders – but that would happen anyway.

Indeed.

Most of the protesters were indeed well behaved; most wouldn’t go destroy property because they know better. We’re basically law abiding citizens.  What would be the most honest wish of a protester  before going out? I think it’s that while we will most certainly behave within the limits of the law (because, contrary to what most think, most of us actually do have jobs and families to think of before breaking the law). However, I don’t think everyone is as disgusted with some ruffians damaging property as they would like the rest of the world to believe. Does it make us bad people. I don’t think so. It makes us human.

Instead of putting our energies into blaming the Black Bloc for everything and tying ourselves into knots denouncing them, whether some or all of them turn out to be agents provocateurs for the police, McGuinty and/or Harpercons or all of the above;  ask what happened with the police. Why did they not nip this miscreant activity in the bud? This story, from  a Conservative paper, no less.

Every Canadian Tax payer should ask why their Billion plus dollars of tax money bought police corruption  instead of protection.

Because, who were the Toronto police protecting anyway? Not the inside of the G20 summit; that was guarded by the RCMP. The world leaders themselves? They all travel with their own security detail. I’m sure these security details even taste their food for them. Hell, I don’t think Obama goes to the washroom without the secret service far behind.  No, those leaders were safe.

The truth is The Black Bloc turned out to be everyone’s best friend and worst enemy at the same time that fateful Saturday afternoon.

Thank you, Sister S. for that. Were I not so old and were my heart not in such bad condition I may have at least been there, cheering the Black Block on – perhaps joining.

To put it in some perspective, I see the Greeks, in protesting the very measures that these G20 people are supporting, rioted singing: “Burn the Parliament…”

Our oppression is not so obvious and our violence is not so extreme.

Back-in-the-day I attended demos on Trudeau’s War Measures and his Wage and Wage Controls – non-violent and was told ‘what a good boy I was’ – and the War Measures still extended 4,000 miles from Quebec to BC and the Wage controls stayed in place.

The, indeed any, violence I have seen has been the product of (what jj calls) lawnorder, not from the protesters: in one demo in DC a friend got bayoneted and another was arrested and roughed up for observing and supporting a sitin at the Washington Monument. I was 50 miles from Kent State, listening on the campus radio to the peaceful demo when the students got shot, and in Vancouver when the riot police made a big boo-boo and took down, with force, the son of the American Ambassador who was trying to avoid the mêlée; while attending a demo in Ottawa a couple of years ago to ‘welcome’ GWB to Ottawa I was bowled over by a cop rushing to seize someone’s ‘majik marker’. (Not being in terrific shape, I was trying to get into the Chateau of a beer on a hot day).

So a few windows were taken out, and it appears a few police cars (used as bate) were trashed. Go Black Block! Your violence was not people directed – no one attacked the police, it was against property. No cameras were taken and broken, no one was clubbed, no one was threatened and no one was lock up by the Block.

    Yes, they were our friends.

    Thank you for your remarks.

I’m still convinced that these Black Block were Agents provocateurs for the most part and I am finding more events and stories that just don’t compute.

Plus David Fennario, a Montreal socialist leaning satirist playwrite (Balconville: Bananaboots: On the Job: Joe Beef) wrote an open letter on the subject. He says with certainty that they were agents provocateurs; he never seen any anarchists so perfectly choreographed. Now, lots of folks tend to discredit David quite quickly. (I knew him years ago: I performed a production of Joe Beef; was a member of his International socialists group headed by him and his wife, Liz and yes, got creamed by his then 8 year old son at Pac man). He has indeed known plenty of anarchists. Many of these
(self-admitted) anarchists were members of this group; don’t know why; quite a difference between socialism and anarchism, but anyway…my point is, he’s known plenty of anarchists in his lifetime to know their modus operendi. We should take his opinion on this matter seriously.

But, that wasn’t the point of this particular post. In fact, for the sake of this post, we will assume these were the genuine article. My point to this particular post was in reaction to many on the left who are trigger happy to denounce the Black bloc and such and getting indignant & super defensive when conservatives or other ignoramuses accuse them (left) of being an anarchist and/or sympathizer to stop going so much on the defensive. I was accused of it by so many. And know what? Honestly, I don’t care. If Blogging SupposiTories want to blog about me being a black bloc sympathizer, be my guest.

I’m sorry to hear about your health. Take good care of yourself and stay hydrated in cool as possible places for this summer.

Welcome to Sister Sage’s Musings and I hope you stop by again.

  • MY point all along. As you say, we twist ourselves up in knots trying to denounce the window-smashing and distancing ourselves from the Black Bloc, when instead we should be focusing on the bigger villains, … the Charter-smashing police and the humanity-smashing politicians and corporate monstrosities.

Sometimes I even support a little property destruction too. This time it seemed pointless, but it’s not important enough for me to start typing my fears about how our way of life is threatened by it.

Without the violence, our protests (sane criticisms of demonstrably failed policies) would have been limited to an optional sidebar.

  • “Go Black Block! Your violence was not people directed – no one attacked the police, it was against property.”

That is the DUMBEST thing I ever heard. Who runs businesses? People. Violence against business hurts people. Insurance rates go up, costing the business money. Business is also an employer, and when costs go up, more workers can’t be hired, and actually some people will have to be fired. Once again, hurting business hurts people.

Where do you think people get money? It doesn’t grow on trees you know. What should we expect from spoiled children who haven’t had to work a REAL days work in their life. No respect for authority, no respect for parents, no respect period, and that’s why you don’t deserve any.

Tell you what, cry and scream all you want, the vast majority of Canada is against you, remember that.

A Canada that’s for police chiefs who invent the laws as they go along.

As I’ve pointed out in previous posts; the black block thing smells of cop more and more as more info pops out everyday. Yes, Agents provocateurs

Tell me, is CAnada for the police yanking off the artificial leg and beating of Mr John Pruyn? Would you tell Mr John Pruyn to his face he deserved everything that happened to him?

And tell me; how is Canada refusing to be informed? Why are they for the police allowing the vandalism and police car burning on Saturday but the mass arrests of innocent people on Sunday? Explain that one.

    ck Reply:

Oh and another thing. Your businesses proved our point on how greedy they can get. They had been warned all week about what could happen. The US put Toronto on a travel advisory even. Radio news was advising them to close and board up for the week-end. Many did heed that warning. We saw pictures of those who boarded up with ply wood or put up metal railings or grates and simply closed. The others should have done the same thing. They were forewarned enough time in advance to board up. They knew the feds weren’t going to compensate. Yet, many decided to stubbornly open anyway. Just sayin’

  • He bent the truth on the law, didn’t lie about it. The 1939 law stipulated that they couldn’t be within 5 meters of the inside of the fence. Blair simply left out that part about “inside”. It worked fairly well as to keep a fair bit of people away from the police wall, and those who were arrested, were arrested for a variety of other reasons, but you would ignore that too.

The Black Bloc (no K missy), are a semi-organized group of radicals which have been rioting at various protests for decades now. First appeared in Germany in the 1980s, while the group is relatively unknown, their tactics have been used by many (thus the expression, Black Bloc tactics). This group in Toronto came out of Montreal, and had issued threats to the city about how they would cause as much havoc as possible, breaking up into smaller groups and causing as much destruction as possible. As for your claim of provocateurs, the facts demonstrate differently…
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6D_qVrMqgXk
Notice that they YOUNG individuals are being cheered on by members of other groups like CUPE? Also, I don’t think police would need to tear up Toronto streets for weapons. I am pretty sure they have their own…

As for the artificial leg, what of it? Protesters were tearing up Toronto streets for bricks, carrying around 2x4s and using mannequin legs as weapons (as shown in the video), why shouldn’t an artificial leg be viewed as a weapon of opportunity? Prosthetics are used to conceal a variety of things, weapons and drugs, so seeing as how world leaders were under threat, why shouldn’t all precautions be taken? Is it a little silly? I will admit it does strike me as a little harsh, but considering the circumstances, police were well within their right to do do.

Refusing to be informed? Where did that come from? As for violence on Saturday, mass arrests on Sunday, this is played in the media, but it is an over simplification of what was going on. Police had less officers available Saturday (9000 versus 15000 on Sunday) and had to defend the fence. The Black Bloc admitted that it wanted to cause panic, so you saw a variety of attacks across the city. Why would officers leave the fence so chase after “ghosts” (after committing violence, black garments were discarded and rioters vanished back into the crowds which protected them)? Considering that the amount of damage was far less than other protests, like the Summit of the Americas in Quebec City in 2001, I am pretty sure the tactic worked. Mass arrests on Sunday started with a tip which led to the arrest of 70 people giving aid and shelter to the Black Bloc on the University of Toronto campus. Many others were arrested coming off the Go-Train with a variety of weapons and gear (hatchets, nailguns, gas masks, etc), trying to slip into the downtown undected (lessons learned from Saturday). Riots outside the detention center brought more arrests, rioters hiding among other protesters got entire groups arrested (very few charged however), and various small groups were picked up on suspicion (once again, very few charged). People like you seem to forget that if you arrest someone who has committed crimes and/or is looking at committing more crimes, you prevent their future crimes. Any questions?

So all business should shut down because angry politically bent twits want to “stick it to the man”? What about the rights of shoppers? I thought you cared about the rights of all individuals (just saying)? Summits like this bring tourists, and even those tourists who are looking at smashing store fronts need to eat, and would like to shop (before coming back later, breaking the store windows and stealing what wasn’t on sale). This “greedy” you talk about is human nature, and last time I checked, your kind was far greedier. Demanding more rights than others, demanding hand outs and new welfare programs, demanding certain people shouldn’t be allowed to speak, etc So don’t pretend your kind is innocent of all this.

Those boarded up windows, were boarded up because some twit like you threw a brick through them. Have you ever done construction work before? Any manual labour? I have, and before putting up, or replacing broken glass, plywood (what you saw covering Starbucks and various other shops) is put up to cover the hole. A quick fix, fairly cheap, easy to remove and it keeps vandals out. Common sense just seems to escapes you…

You just proved how evil today’s conservatives are. Evil and stupid; If cops can’t tell the difference between prosthetic legs and mannequin legs; then they have no business being cops in the first place. Prosthetic legs are made customized to fit the patient and do you know how much those things cost? I’m not even sure medicare or his group insurance from his job covers even some of it.

As for the shoppers; what shoppers? even before this insanity; not too many planned on shopping in the Downtown area nor eat in a downtown restaurant. After the week-end that turned out to be correct.

This reeks of agents provocateurs just to stop dissent.

Deregulation of the US financial industry caused the economic crisis. Why should the working class and society’s most vulnerable pay for the fat cats’ greed?

We ask for rights for everyone. That everyone has a job; a home, health care (oh, and you’re certainly free to cut your medicare card, but like other cons, you’re too much of hypocrite to do so) and meets their basic needs. What’s so greedy about that?

Greed is sadly, human nature. So is the urge for a lot of folks to murder. Doesn’t mean we should allow it.

Refusing to be informed? Where did that come from? As for violence on Saturday, mass arrests on Sunday, this is played in the media, but it is an over simplification of what was going on. Police had less officers available Saturday (9000 versus 15000 on Sunday)

Link please. I saw nothing of the kind in either pages from corporate media. There were only a few hundred black bloc types; whethere there were 9000 or 15000 cops they could have taken them on easily. The fence was a red herring. The fence is just some piece of metal really. The RCMP was guarding inside. All those leaders have their own security detail, armed and dangerous they never leave home without.

How do you explain even what happened to photographers from your favourite paper, the National post getting arrested as well as others from corporate media?

Summits bring tourists. Wow! Now, that’s one for the funny pages, considering the U.S. issued a travel advisory for Toronto that week-end.

Why is a gas mask a weapon? It’s a protective item; to protect from tear gas. We’re not allowed to protect ourselves from harmful chemicals? Don’t know where you got the nail guns and other shit from; that was already established to be from other non g20 related searches.

Just admit that you’re ga ga giddy with children going to bed hungry. You cum in your pants over the idea of anyone daring to speak against the good word of Harpercon getting hit with a billy club to the point of being bloodied or getting their genitals fondled by police. The next time you comment here; admit those things.

Hell, just admit you would prefer we skip the next election all together and we just give your master Harper the keys to the Parliament playground to never have an election again. Just admit it. You know ya wanna.

you admitted you were perfectly fine with what happened to John Pruyn. So go on, the truth shall set you free! Prove to us what we already know.

  • Wow, I didn’t think anyone could twist my words like that, but there you go.

“You just proved how evil today’s conservatives are. Evil and stupid” And how pray tell did I do that? As I said, the Black Bloc (once again, NO K) was using everything and anything they could get their hands on as a weapon. One report had one person bring hot sauce (chemical warfare)to the riots, and this is aside from the mannequin legs, 2x4s, hatchets, baseball bats, etc that they were already using. So what if they are custom fit, you don’t think it is possible to hide things in a prosthetic? Drug smugglers do it all the time, and small caliber guns like .22s could easily fit into a carved space in the base of the leg. It has been done before, police were worried it could happen, and taking no chance, they confiscated his legs. How is that either evil or stupid?

Shoppers? Oh, you didn’t know? After Saturday’s riots, stores were closed (they closed early Saturday when the riots started, but stayed closed Sunday), but a few shoppers were upset that they couldn’t even get the bare essentials thanks to the “peaceful protesters” of the previous day…
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPFWEBm7Yts

“This reeks of agents provocateurs just to stop dissent”? You stick to conspiracy theories, and yet you have no proof. Go on, prove it. The have needed no provocation in the past to destroy store fronts, attack police officers, etc so why would they need it now. As you can clearly see in the video I posted, the Black Bloc rioters were being cheered on by members of CUPE, so WHERE’S YOUR PROOF?

“We ask for rights for everyone. That everyone has a job; a home, health care…” As the American’s believe, life, liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness? Happiness is not guaranteed in our constitution, so you can stop right there. It is this kind of thinking which destroyed Greece’s economy. Guaranteed employment? Public sector jobs are paid for by private sector tax dollars, so NO!, not going to happen. Guaranteed housing? Who is going to pay for that, and pay to upkeep it? Money doesn’t grow on trees. Guaranteed health care? CMA said last year that our system is heading towards imploding as costs have become far to great for them to be sustainable…
    http://www.canadianmedicinenews.com/2009/08/new-cma-president-anne-doig-urges.html
Free health care never is free, it is always paid by someone else, and it costs more in the public system because of the waste and corruption which always occurs with government plans this size (no profit motive, money is spent haphazardly). As they say, “If you think healthcare is expensive now, wait until it’s free”.

“That some should be rich, shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.” Abraham Lincoln March 21st, 1864.

“There were only a few hundred black bloc types; whethere there were 9000 or 15000 cops they could have taken them on easily.” The numbers were brought up on the Michael Coren Show. You could look on SDAMatt2′s Youtube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/sdamatt2) if you want to give it a look, or you can watch the videos on my blog. The numbers are sketchy though as police can’t work 24 hour shifts, nor 12 hour ones, so you would only have a few hundred, maybe a thousand, on the streets at any time. You wouldn’t chase these small gangs around the city either as, with Toronto’s subway system, they could pop up anywhere within the metropolitan area. That is why they guarded specific locations.

The photographers were arrested for refusing to disperse. What do them? They weren’t accredited photographers, more like “mercenaries” hired to take pictures of the scene. What I find silly about the photos of their arrest is that one of their own people would have to be free and unrestrained to take pictures of them wrestling with police. Tarek Fatah, an NDP supporter, actually corrected Michael Coren on this, pointing out that one of these reporters who had said the police beat him was not only unaccredited, but, according to witnesses, tried to get in the face of a few officers and shouted offensive remarks, almost looking like he wanted to get arrested (journalists being the story again).

So what is the US issues travel warnings, who listens to them? A variety of groups from the states showed up, aside from various protesters from Montreal. Out-of-towners are still tourists, but then you have those people coming down early for Pride week, as well as the summit gawkers and amateur reporters. Toronto is a world class city, and big events do draw crowds.

“Why is a gas mask a weapon?” I love your lack of reason on this point. They need the gas mask to protect against tear gas right? Why would they be getting tear gassed then? BECAUSE THEY ARE PART OF THE GROUP THAT IS RIOTING! This small fact is completely ignored by twits like you. If she was to be protesting peacefully, should wouldn’t be among the violent protesters being gassed. You had handfuls of peaceful demonstrations away from the detention center and the fence. Any idiot knows there is going to be trouble near where the police are stationed, so why go down there if you aren’t there to get involved?

Do you know anything but talking points and rhetoric? I doubt you could come up with something as stupid as “Harpercon” all by yourself. While I don’t approve of his spending, Harper has maintained many Liberal policies which the Liberals themselves have already abandoned as the party has moved further to the left. “Iggy” is by no means a Cretien or Martin, more like a Layton than any recent Liberal leader.

Oh, and they aren’t called billy clubs you twit. Billy clubs were the classic batons used by early “Bobbies”. While British nickname batons “billies”, the classic style batons have given way to the expandable baton, which are light weight and are easier to carry around. You can’t even stay up to date on the lingo, let alone educate yourself on the facts… Pathetic…

    ck Reply:

You are evil to suggest that it’s ok for the police to have ripped John Pruyn’s artificial leg from his body. Once again, he needs it to walk. What weapon? I don’t find it likely he was there to do anything else than protest peacefully. It is you who is not logical. At age 57, the man is probably close to his pension, why would he have done something stupid as to carry drugs in his prosthetic leg or anywhere else in a police zone? You’re evil and you’re trying to justify evil, and I truly hope you burn in hell for it.

Checked your site; “moderate”? HA!! You make General Augusto Pinochet and Adolf Hitler look like humanitarian of the year!

“This reeks of agents provocateurs just to stop dissent”? You stick to conspiracy theories, and yet you have no proof. Go on, prove it. Many of us have already put this together. Like leaving police cars unattended; the ‘bullet-proof’ windshield that shatters right away. No one even making any effort to call the fire department. They had water cannons but made no effort to put out the fires. 9000 police; still far outnumbering a few hundred vandals. Still never stopped them. A guy who stole a large, cumbersome crystal ball that was sure to have slowed him down, but the cops never made an effort to catch him; why, oh brilliant one, were the cops not able to catch him? He made it further up the street to toss it through a window of a jewellry store?

This, from a pro-cop columnist; from a conservative paper run by your good friend Kory, no less: http://www.torontosun.com/news/columnists/joe_warmington/2010/06/30/14564416.html; very telling; why were they ordered to leave the vandals alone but pounce on everything in site on Sunday? How about the media with their credentials? The couple who had their apartment stormed at 4 Am without a warrant?

So, brilliant one, explain all that one. PLease, do make it coherent, I realize that’s going to be difficult without you getting a nose bleed but do try.

You prove that it was not agents provocateurs; that agents provocateurs were not in any shape or form involved.

You don’t like universal health care? Cut your medicare/OHIP/or other gov’t health care card then. Do it on YOuTUBE for all to see. But then, you’ll just get another one won’t you? Typical hypocrite. Instead of chastising it to me. Put your money where your mouth is; DO IT!!!! I know the moment Steve gets his majority, he will yank what’s left of universal health care and Americanize it (BTW their health care ranks lower than ours according to WHO); you & your connie compatriots will be the first to bitch about it. Oh, and your taxes won’t go down. The austerity program calls for higher taxes, dear. Again, that’s ok, if others suffer greatly. You must really lead a miserable life to wish harm and ill on others like that.

BTW: Dr Anne Doig is another greedy lazy doctor who pimped herself on FoX Gretchen Carlson show who happens to be the daughter of one of the striking doctors when Tommy Douglas introduced medicare.

Michael Coren is a sadistic cue ball who can’t get a real job in broadcasting. Nuff said.

You’re so fucking evil that the only way for you to learn is to suffer horribly, and the only way for you to learn is for you to lose your job. Don’t claim EI benefits; be a good little purist now. So you would have to go beg on the streets I guess… yah yah, you can say you saved but savings only last so long unless your Evelyn Rothchild or Richard Branson or someone like that. Joblessness is expected to go up. Yes, the other shoe is about to drop. The third depression. You will have to go begging for scraps, woncha? And your only hope won’t be your connie compatriots. No, they will simply give you a swift kick in front of a car like you probably do.

    Then you might get arrested.

And here is where I get gross. I hope you end up sharing a cell with big Bubbah and you become his bitch.

Never answered my question earlier; You ok with slave labor? You want those days back? You ok with countries like China where kids work in sweatshops with no standards? Where the Chinese worker brings home no more than 1$ or 2$ per day?

  • Why do I even bother commenting here? I expected something even remotely intelligent, but I get called evil and you won’t let go of a few isolated incidents at the G20 in Toronto. You cling to a system that has caused so much destruction because why? You can’t even justify your beliefs. Oh no, for disagreeing with you, I must be an evil “Harpercon”. Go to China, experience what your political beliefs do to people. I knew twits like you there who were so disillusioned by what they saw, they left halfway into their contract. You’re pathetic. You even threw in the Nazi meme, WOW! Godwin’s rule prevails again. It is hilarious… You are absolutely stupid…

    Once again…
“That some should be rich, shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.” Abraham Lincoln March 21st, 1864

    and here’s a new one…
“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” Winston Churchill

Two men who were far brighter than you could ever be. Here’s one more for good measure, seeing how hateful you have become (swearing now eh?)…
“Anger dwells only in the bosom of fools.” Albert Einstein

    Pathetic…

But you love China. You love the capitalism that saved them. Who gives a flying fuck about human rights over there, right? So long as they’re capitalist.

And once again, Banking deregulation in the US caused the recession, not socialism.

Socialism and Social democratic states have existed for a long time. Long before Reaganomics; long before GW Bush completely deregulated financial industry. But, you must justify unabashed greed, must you?

And I guess you don’t read Paul Krugman, do you? He won a nobel prize in economics. And you?

Hi Pale, I know. Most of my trolls prefer to spew their hate or send me their weird love letters via email. But not clancop. I wonder if he is a cop? And a member of the Klu Klux Klan? I will read your link later, right now, I have to get ready to go to the demonstration Downtown now. I will be the overweight cranky one in turquoise plaid sneakers; matching sunhat; purple t-shirt and smoking a cigarrette for those in the Montreal area. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Move on! I’m not a dedicated follower of fashion. Oh NO!!! Call the fashion police!!

Pale is a she for openers. Proves you’ve never read her blog, otherwise you’d see she’s provided more than enough proof over time.

Frankly, you’re starting to bore me.

Go campaign state side for your Alaskan wet dream will ya? I hear tea-bagger weddings are just fascinating.

Oh, and Krugman won a nobel prize. What have you achieved?
