“Put him in the ground, for god’s sake”: Ezra Levant wears orange wig, drinks Orange Crush. Mocks Layton’s passing.

Michael Coren to Ezra Levant: “Now we’ve become targets, victims, even potential martyrs”.

I thought the right couldn’t dive any lower but Ezra Levant and Michael Coren did just that on Fox News North. What can I say? Not even Fox News would ever go this low.

You still think Christie Blatchford’s opening salvo across the bow was a kindness? To all those journalists who gave Blatchford a pass, this is what you are enabling. I’ve never seen such disregard for a human life and death of a life from the right this week - all because that life was not a Conservative. Right to life? Bullshit.

I know I shouldn’t throw any more free publicity the way of these soulless bastards but hell, there should be a price to pay for this kind of childish mockery of human life and death. Somewhere over at the National Post, Christie, Babs and Jonny are drinking champagne laughing and toasting Ezzy and Mikey. It must be a proud time to be a right-wing Conservative. With Breivik, riots and Layton’s passing, they finally get to be their real selves.

orange wig, eh? I think I like Ezzy better when he was wearing the niqab, at least we didn’t have to see his face.

I guess a small consolation is that this crap is only being viewed by the few thousand already converted and those with a anthropologic/morbid car-accident-like-curiousness …geez, just reading levant is bad enough!

Not so. Sun news is getting lots of viewers. Their prime time shows opposite CBC and CTV news are apparently pulling in very similar numbers.

That’s interesting. I have read a couple of QMI articles on two nights where the network did well. But with the loss of over-the-air, these numbers won’t last. Do you have any sources that show a consistently good performance from the network?

Well, I had read this, but not too carefully, and since it sounded a little fishy I went and looked it up again. The figures compared were against CBC Newsworld and some cable CTV constant news channel (I don’t even know what that is, probably not much competition!), not against the main networks. Hah! Still, numbers of nearly 100,000 or so are not entirely trivial. And yes they may have even cherry picked the nights (I think one, for example, was an interview with Mark Steyn on the day his highly advertised book was released).

Thanks for the reply. It will be interesting to see the numbers over a period of time. I’m sure they will be published eventually.
