On the heels of assurances from Jenni Byrne and Stephen Harper that Conservatives would never, ever do anything unethical despite the voter suppression accusations hanging over them, comes this bit of unwelcome news that the party worked in cahoots with the military to cover up Peter MaKay’s lavish lifestyle.
OTTAWA—Military personnel were asked to dig up dirt on an opposition MP in the wake of revelations Defence Minister Peter MacKay was picked up in a search-and-rescue helicopter from a 2010 fishing trip, defence department records show.
And the hits keep on coming.

I don’t think the politicians responsible for this political fuckery should be the target of much of our criticism. It is those who make it possible and fail to act to stop it that I blame. Here I point out that despicable as the current Conservatives may be the problem is people who support parties rather than their country.
