When I think of Election Fraud, I think of Saanich/Gulf Islands campaign in 2008. Gary Lunn v. Briony Penn.
Briony was a charismatic candidate for the Liberal Party, she was Lady Godiva, a candidate for change. This lady went out on a limb to represent the people. Shortly before the election, the NDP candidate was withdrawn, yet just before the election calls went out supporting the withdrawn NDP candidate. Those calls were generated by ? The NDP phone number that came up on caller ID’s was spoofed, apparently.
They amounted to more people voting for the withdrawn candidate then the spread between Gary Lunn and Briony Penn, which calls the validity of that Election into question. This was reported to Elections Canada, who decided that nothing illegal had occurred. During the same race, there were also questions about third party advertising, artfully hidden but suspicious enough. Three different groups, all using the same lawyer and the same financial agent, who contributed to Lunn’s campaign. If it had been proven that they represented one group, the election finance law would have been broken.
So, there you have it. Although the Press will undoubtedly drop this story in a day or two, it is a story of a bloodless coup. The question in my mind is this. Will this expose Elections Canada and the RCMP as well? These two agencies, charged with protecting the citizens of Canada from becoming a fascist statehood, have a choice to make. They either protect democracy, or they protect Harper by a)refusing to investigate, or b)bungling the investigation.
Whatever happens, we need to acknowledge the fact that the damage has been done. The Canadian voter can have no confidence that elections conducted in Canada are legal and democratic.
Which leads to my next question. What are we going to actually do about it?
According to the Canadian Press, the House of Commons voted unamimously to support an investigation by the RCMP and Elections Canada, so I guess the question is, Will they investigate the matter thoroughly, to the best of their ability, or will they follow the BC Rail model of investigation?

There is no way, Elections Canada nor the RCMP will oppose Harper. He had threatened T.I.D.E….if they spoke one word against the tar sands, their budget would be cut to the bone.
Harper is a Neo-Nazi, they always govern by threat. So did Harper’s favorite henchman Campbell. Remember the dirty tactics Campbell and Elections BC used, to fight to keep the HST? Well, that’s what we can expect from Harper, he is identical to Campbell. All dictators have the same personality type. Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini, had the same, paranoid insane typo’s.
What is the mechanism of asking for UN observers for the next federal election?
Linda. I am convinced that Harper and Campbell are on the same team.
