HA! In politics these days; in any party; is there such thing?

Iggy was out of the country and probably never even heard of ADSCAM except from hearsay and whatever Canadian papers he may have read at the time and never even entertained a political career at the time, yet, he finds himself with ADSCAM on his lap. I never found Iggy to be a suitable leader for the Liberals or any Canadian party for that matter and he continues to prove this day by day, but I always felt that it was unfair to saddle him with that. If anything, Iggy should be the least likely leader to be attached to ADSCAM. ADSCAM is something the right, as well as the separatists are determined to keep aliveno matter who leads the liberals, the very fact that Iggy is stuck with it has proven as much to me.

Since Iggy is to remain as leader as the LIberals, the fact that he was nowhere near Ottawa when ADSCAM happened, he shouldn’t have to take ownership of it.

Honestly, it’s old, Gomery already had his inquiry. Those who were involved are now dead, in jail, got fired or moved out of the country. It really is time to move on.

Likewise, I tell Liberal supporters the same thing regarding that whole Mulroney/ Karlheinz Schreiber airbus affair thing. Time to move on.

You’re right about one thing. Alexendre will never have a political career. He’s happy travelling the deserts and the bushes of remote areas and third world countries, filming his documentaries.

For now, though, you’re right, for the sake of unseating Steve, Domenic Leblanc would probably be the better choice. For one thing, he doesn’t come from neither Ontario nor Quebec; something that I think will appeal to most CAnadians.

That kid’s got the brains and the charisma; too bad he’s totally turned off by politics. Justin’s got great hair and a smashing pair of cowboy boots, but hasn’t the intestinal fortitude to stand up to all the would-be advisors who will line up to whisper in his ear should he manage to be chosen. The fact that his name continues to come up is likely only because the crusty old lepers who want to be the power behind the throne know how maliable poor Justin would be.
Dominic would be a better choice, but his discourse has never been courageous enough to address the sponsorship scandal culture into which he was baptized when he was first elected.
The Liberal party will never rise from the ashes until they truly address their mistakes or find a leader who’s integrity is undeniable.

I mean, that coalition with Bob simply showed Canadians he (and probably the younger Liberal leaders in waiting like Domenic Leblanc and Justin Trudeau) can’t win without coalition neither.

I have always maintained that both need to go.

Leblanc and Trudeau are both leaders in waiting as they say; future of the Liberal party. I say the future is now. In fact, their future survival (and our’s; protection from Harpercon majority) depends on it). Hold some kind of new leadership race now. Someone like Leblanc or Trudeau wouldn’t need a coalition to win and could even potentially get a majority.

And if coalitions are formed, the Bloc shouldn’t be invited, even though the math would require their presence; as we know how violently Joe and Jane Canuck will react to it.

Otherwise he wouldn’t waste his breath.
The merger notion was pure Kinsella fabrication.
Bloody shame that the guy leading the Lib is the same who pulled the plug on the last colition attempt.
Get Bob in there, drop Iffy off at the next station.
