They are being tracked down. The police are reporting them as surrendering themselves. Not sure why. But that is a lie.

Friends of mine were detained. You don’t have to believe me; it doesn’t matter; we don’t know each other, but I can tell you that they had no part in any of that shit. Like myself, they attend demonstrations to march, perhaps carry a sign and to have their voices heard. Frankly, we’re getting on in years and don’t have the physical stamina to outrun the law. They are not chronically unemployed kids who live in their parents’ basements (I read one of your recent blog entries) btw. They’re the working class, professionals, civil servants, students, mothers, fathers, grandparents who are all concerned about the future.

My mother was fortunate to not be arrested, but she never she never set foot outside of her home neither; not even to visit my father in the hospital. My mother’s home is right near the make shift detention center.

So at least, you would have to consider the possibility that these morons basically gave a huge boost to the justification of over-done security and subsequent response of police.

The more I read and hear about this whole circus (only because I can’t find any word bad enough to really describe it with my repertoire of profanity); the more this smells of cop; agent provocateur, at least for the most part and now they must save face somehow. I’m not going to rehash everything fellow bloggers and I have put together since this whole debacle begun. I’m sure more will come out though. The truth always finds a way of coming out one way or another; sooner or later.

So at least, you would have to consider the possibility that these morons basically gave a huge boost to the justification of over-done security and subsequent response of police.

I have followed your blog on and off for awhile now. I know one the issues you step away from Harpercon party lines is Steve’s tough on crime bills that he so aspires to put out. So I will attempt to put this to you in the hopes that maybe you will give this some thought. Mind you, it’s only a much smaller issue. Steve wants to convince all that Canadians are bad people & Canada’s a dangerous place to be and only he & his posse can keep us safe. This whole thing became more than justifying billion dollar boondoggle; it becomes about justifying his tough on crime bills. So, wouldn’t that be a good reason to use agents provocateurs? Call me a conspiracy theory if you will. But watch the next election campaign or the next time he tries to push those type of bills that he doesn’t bring this up.

Tough on crime bills to promote as well as the bigger picture which is of course, shutting down dissent.

I am also outraged that cops could be so sadistic as to rip the artificial leg off the body of anyone.

After that Sunday, it became a dark day for me indeed.

Does it strike you, at all, that the message of the peaceful protestors was completely drowned out by anarchists with no agenda but to wreak havoc.

And, before you accuse the “agents” of police or government, I’ll just posit that while I wasn’t there, and didn’t obviously know everyone in the crowd, so neither, I’m assuming, did you.

So at least, you would have to consider the possibility that these morons basically gave a huge boost to the justification of over-done security and subsequent response of police.

So, then.. where is the angst and anger towards the people who most clearly aborted the efforts of peaceful protestors in getting their points across?

Just a thought.

What about the suppression or destruction
of supplied or contributed videos from the public?

Whitewash and damage control, that’s all it is.

The chief had better quit before all the maggots
come out of the woodwork.

It’ll be an interesting city election year.
