Small c’s, also known as “blue tories”, are hard-right conservatives who don’t identify with the Conservative Party, usually because it’s too moderate. SUZANNE and her ilk are small-c conservatives, and so are a lot of teabaggy types.

Maybe you’re confusing them with red tories?
