While I don’t mind the glossification of the Globe, I do mind the far right it has taken. You mention and praise the WSJ. My feeling is that the Globe is following the WSJ -or at least the Murdoch lead – in its swing to the right. WSJ is gaining in popularity among one group – financially-oriented right wingers. The Globe is trying to have it both ways, right-wing slant with HuffPo glitz.

I don’t read right-wing news sources any longer. They piss me off too much. But if I do pick up a Globe, it’ll only be to read about the breakup of some celebrities. Because that will carry more weight than anything being reported as political news or opined as political or social commentary in today’s Globe & Mail.

AND THANKs, CK, for Posting! He’s said ALL the things that have been choking me & causing terminal steaming every time I look at the stupid rag now! Today, an article- on the front page of the Globe & Mail, mind you – was called something like “About the Breakup of Courtney Cox & her Husband – Why Do We Care?” I couldn’t believe my EYES! I linked the article in an email to the Eds & just said “We really really DON’T!” Thanks again for the article! I’m sharing with you & will also write Nic & thank him!
