We have been complicit in their misery as a corporatist nation and a member state in some of these organisations that enslaved the Haitian community. WTO, World Bank, IMF.

Haiti’s particular problems probably exacerbated the risk. However, it should be said that I’ve read reports that most people in PAP have at least access now to clean drinking water, which has certainly mitigated things somewhat. It probably wasn’t a coincidence the first outbreak happened away from the earthquake zone, but where many had settled in camps afterwards.

PAHO states they have supplies in a warehouse near PAP airport; they way PAHO words it suggests they have’t been distributed, which I find hard to believe. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt given the fact ORS and meds seem to be in fair supply —I haven’t yet seen any reports of distribution problems.

Had you come across any indication of that?
