Harper is supposed to be, everything the Common Wealth deplores. Even the likes of Gordon Campbell and his evil to BC and Canada, should turn their stomachs. He too gave Communist our resources and resource jobs. The only Common Wealth country, that did speak against Harper, was Australia. Their media wrote, how badly Harper was destroying Democracy in Canada.

I too wondered, why Britain wasn’t denouncing Harper, at the top of their voices. Harper selling this country out to Communist China? Britain ignores Harper’s treachery to the Canadian people? Harper is a damned traitor to Canada, and Britain says nothing.

Your Majesty;

The situation with Parliamentary Democracy in Canada is at a crisis. I’m sure you are well apprised of the allegations against the current Government, led by Stephen Harper. Proroguing Parliament to avoid questions of Confidence. Twice. Contempt of Parliament. Breaking the fixed Election Law that he Enacted. Shutting down legitimate debate. Allegations of Election Fraud. Muzzling the Civil Service. Ramming through omnibus Legislation that guts Canadian Sovereignty and breaking Treaties signed by your direct descendants of the Crown.

Madam, we remain your colony through our Westminster Parliament and through your agent, the Governor General. The present Governor General serves at the whim of the Prime Minister. He has proven to be a grateful servant to the party he serves. I understand that the Governor General, as your agent, is Commander in Chief of the Canadian Forces. I have pledged allegiance to you and served in your Canadian Forces (Reserve).

Currently, we have an escalation in tensions between the Harper Government™ (yes, that’s what he calls it!), and our indigenous peoples. He wants to assimilate them and thus extinguish the treaties signed by many Nations and the Crown. While the Indian Act is an inadequate and terribly flawed document, First Nations people deserve a seat at the table in correcting the flawed document and the resulting damages to their culture. Steven Harper is unilaterally trying to strip the people from that paltry lands reserved for them (free of molestation) and their rights to quiet enjoyment of their territories. He has failed to honour his own promises to First Nations made just a year ago.

As a result, the Chief of the Attawapiskat Nation, Theresa Spence, has embarked upon a hunger strike. Since December 11, the Chief has taken no food, only water and fish broth. She resides tonight on Victoria Island in a Teepee during a brutal snowstorm, minutes from Parliament Hill. She refuses to eat, upon pain of death, until the Prime Minister and the Crown address the First Nations’ dire humanitarian and sovereignty crisis.

Stephen Harper tweets about bacon and hides in Alberta, his Christmas message to the nation implored us,

“… but for now, let us be mindful of those who are less fortunate.”

But he has not spoken a word to any of the First Nations leaders who have implored him to speak with Chief Spence on this matter. Many Canadians fear that the PM would rather let this brave woman die than appear to lose face. The native people are being joined by others who do not wish our country to become a banana republic in a movement called #IdleNoMore.

Mr. Harper fails to realize that he has an opportunity to show leadership here and compassion. Mr. Harper is not that good at relationships. He prefers to deploy accountants and lawyers at the expense of First Nations, to dispute the truths they put forward.

I know that you are perhaps the one person who could diffuse this situation and save Theresa Spence’s life. All she wants is a mutually beneficial relationship with the Government. The longer this standoff drags on, the worse it will be for Canada. Already, Government misinformation has Canadians divided between the collective society we always identified ourselves as with this new element of hatred and fear. Mr. Harper brought this on with his Republican friends. He has Canadians turning on each other, demonizing Unions, Natives, Civil Servants, Environmentalists, everyone in fact, who doesn’t agree with him. Sound familiar? When London was being blitzed, we came for you and laid our lives on the line.

Madam, I implore you, make two phone calls. One to the Prime Minister and one to the Governor General. They are embarrassing the Crown.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter and congratulations on the impending great grandchild. It’s all about the grandchildren in the end. I too cherish my grandson, just over one year old. I want him to enjoy a sovereign existence here in my home and native land.
