Rachel Maddow eviscerates Michele Bachmann’s lies about Obama’s India trip … and more

This video represents the first 14 minutes or so of Rachel Maddow undressing the whole lying machine so carefully constructed by the right, with their crafted lies that a gullible media either willfully ignores or is too ignorant or lazy to fact check.

Last night and a little bit tonight, Anderson Cooper explored the same Bachmann and Co. lies but Cooper did it far less effectively, with far less conviction and without the use of facts or video evidence Maddow employs so well.

Watch this video. It is journalism. It is partisan to be sure but it is true, it is devastating but it will not resonate any further than Cooper and Maddow and their select audience. That is the sick part. Politico? No. WSJ, certainly not. WaPo, not a chance. Even the NYTimes will demure.

Rachel you’re on your own here. Anderson tries but lacks the balls, brains and humour. Sorry Rachel, Americans don’t want to know. They are too busy celebrating how great they are instead of exploring ways in which they can contribute to making a failing country great again.

One thing that may seem incongruous, but it is technically sound: all the voices from the right in these clips are calm, regulated and tone-based. Rachel Maddow is a little bit on edge (as are most of the MSNBC pundits – bad, bad audio crew – too much echo, too loud, too in your face). The solution is easy. Your pundits must sound reasonable but passionate. The best way to do this is to make the audio reverb free and with full dynamic range. And no fucking echo!

It was a great show – I hope the so called Christian Right is shamed about their lies. The bible is clear about slander

It was reported that Obama is really going to India to meet secretly with a group of Martians who landed there a week ago, and are now seeking asylum in the United States. While this not only validates the fact that Obama was not born in the United States (he was probably born on Mars), but raises questions concerning where in the U.S. they will be settled. Please inform Ms. Bachmann so she can begin an investigation into how big a danger they will be to the American way of life.

Getting right on it. Again, we realize how tricky that new geography can be.
