According to Kady O’Malley’s last tweets, it appears that Stevie Spiteful will be visiting the sites of the Richelieu Floods sites for a briefing tomorrow, suggesting that perhaps Jack may have to wait for the opportunity to ask Stevie his first question as leader of the opposition. So, if Stevie really is heading to the Richelieu tomorrow, did he get a sudden hit of conscience, or did his handlers tell him had to at least look like to pretend to care? Or is this a trip of convenience to stall on answering Jack Layton’s first question as leader of the opposition? You decide.

I hope the good folks of Richelieu show up with “STOP HARPER” signs and ruin his photo op.
Ha! me too!
I’m gonna make one today
just to have it handy
come to think of it, everytime,I cross a street I could whip it out
gee, if lots of people make the same sign we could see them at hockey games and parades and when the Royal newlyweds visit Canada
Can you just imagine those red cardboard signs being whipped out every time Harper makes a public appearance. Maybe some Ottawa friends should show up on the Hill tomorrow to greet him with a hearty STOP welcome.

I’d love it! It’s a fabulous idea, actually.
Seriously, though, I find Stevie’s timing curious to say the least. He had all the time in the world to go visit the Richelieu even before he went to the G8 festivities. Or even on the way back. Obama went straight for the mid-west to check out tornado damage on the way back from G8. Why is Stevie picking the first day of school to head there?
I wonder what kind of reception he’ll get from the town mayors and residents? Will it be of what the hell took you so long? Too little; too late? Or better late than never? Though, I don’t believe it will be the latter.

Excellent idea.
As for Harper’s trip… he’d pick a potential photo op over having to deal with Parliament any day.
Harper is already up to his old tricks, its going to get much much worse. How many fell for his hockey interview with Strombo, sure his office is full of Nucks pucks!
The criticism of Bridgette Depage from every direction on the hill makes me believe, there is nothing in Ottawa but opportunists waiting for the one above them to inevitably fail.
I have put the picture of the Chinese student stopping the tanks up instead of her Stopping parliament, both photos are now iconic, and both mean the same thing. Unfortunately, nothing changed in China, what will happen here/
We should be thankful, Harper just avoided Parliament, he could have prorogued instead. He did that twice, within a years time. He needed time to work on the budget, which was the same, as the previous years budget was. Harper is genuine plastic. (phony)
Harper’s partner in crime Campbell, used to suddenly have to leave the country. Of course, the BC Legislature only sits once a year. Christy Clark is far too busy, to do her job in the Legislature. I’m sure this is it, for another year.
