Hunter “Where Are the Feminists”? Hates Birth Control, Apparently

Boys ‘n’ girls, remember Hunter who always wonders where the feminists are? Well, apparently, her would be crush on Rush is showing these days as she jumps on his bandwagon, agreeing with him that law student, Sandra Fluke is a “slut” for simply saying that birth control should be covered by health insurance.

The lefties are all over a Conservatives comment about a privileged 30 year old woman who spends over a $1000 a year on contraceptives and wants US taxpayers to pay for her “choice”. Rush called her a “slut”. Ouch, harsh but true.

Choice?  She serious? I wonder if Hunter knows the difference between abortion and birth control? Probably not.  But then, even if she did…

What is really funny is this dumb passage on her page:

Or is this just a form of “I want to be behave irresponsibly and have someone else pick up the tab”? Or, “I want my freedom and someone else a slave to the costs involved”?

Uh, funny, I was always taught that using birth control was behaving responsibly.

Good gawd! Cons never could do math, could they? They make it sound like everybody else pays the consumer’s health insurance preniums but the consumer herself (and perhaps her employer in part).

Uh Hunter, tax payers wouldn’t be paying for birth control. Remember? No public option in the US.  Regardless, at the very least, it should be covered by health insurance, at the very least. Why not?

To hear these puritanical cons talk, they make it sound like women like Sandra Fluke get it on on a daily basis and insist on being able to continue doing so.   I will get back to that as I have a question later.

HA! The Catholic Church has a lot of power, not politically, but spiritually and the war has just begun. It was on simmer, but it is now coming up to the boiling point. America is a Christian nation

I’m glad Hunter brought up Christianity and good ol’ Christian values. I really am.  So, it’s Christian to include Viagara  on health insurance plans?  But isn’t that a “choice” as well, Hunter?  Why should men have their viagara covered and “paid for by the masses” as you and your mathematically challenged friends like to put it?  Yet birth control should not?  I’d very much like an answer to that one.

You know, it seems to me that things really haven’t changed that much or we’re really regressing. What this really comes down to is that if men are getting it on, even with the help of those little blue pills, he’s a ‘stud’ and revered and swooned upon? Yet, if a woman is known to have sex often or not even as often as say, a male counterpart, she is an “immoral slut”?  Hunter, I especially dare you to tackle this question.

Or perhaps Hunter is simply sexually frustrated and chooses to take it out on society at large.  That would certainly explain her blogging style.

It is truly horrifying to think that anyone, much less a woman, could side with the Limpbow (Mr. Viagra) in his vile misogyny. It seems that the ultra-right wing has the same anti-human values as the Catholic Church. Can they not acknowledge that sex is a natural part of life and both men and women have a capacity to really enjoy it? Given the world’s diminishing resources, birth control is just plain sensible. Not to mention that it cuts down on abortion, which these bozos purport to be against. But that would require logic that is not twisted like a pretzel and that is probably too much to ask.
