what’s black and white and red all over?
Well, apparently it’s the Globe and Mail. The Thompson’s are back in charge and to cover for the sharp right turn ideologically and the firing of 2 journalists, they have invested in red ink, literally! Maybe they think if we see red when we read the kool-aid, we’ll think it’s left wing kool-aid? Or maybe it’s to indicate the financial prospects of the new format, like they are bleeding red ink. Or maybe they hope the association will encourage the fishwrap to actually be read all over?
This week was a new low for the Corporate press in BC. too. The pundits of record in the PostMedia here (and I’m not even going to waste your intellect on their drivel) wallowed in the rumour and innuendo back and forth between political Personalities, while the bloggers kept us focused on the facts. I promised to introduce you to some of the creme of the blogs here, so without further ado, here’s Ian, who always has The Real Story . All of Ian’s stories are well thought out, but I really liked Reality Used To Be a Friend of Mine.
Also one of my favourite truthtellers is Kootkoot, who blogs to us out of the vast hurtland from the House of Infamy, today, we are graced with his opinion of the PostMediaFail. For the geopolitically challenged, the vast hurtland would pretty much cover the entire map of BC outside of the Greater Vancouver Regional District.
Which takes us to the passionate coverage of the formidible powellriverpersuader, Grant G. who always has The Straight Goods.
Let’s not consider this my complete list. I don’t want to overload anybody with too much information all at once, Lol! I have noticed a trend this week in the national blogosphere as well, away from partisan loyalty towards some larger questions. Accidental Deliberations in Well Said! and Dawg’s Blawg with Librocons, we’re being played really summed it up for me. What do you think?
Thanks for the shout out Kim. I just discovered your blog and it’s now one of my regular reads.
