Oh What Will Fantino And the Harpercons Ever Do Without Super Toews?

Yes, ol’ robocop Julie-pooh had his very first press conference as a full-fledged Harpercon. I guess Stevie and the higher ups musta been terrified of him flapping his gums to those curious journos as Super Toews to the rescue again was in tow. Yep, Fantino managed to not deviate from that Harpercon script, but when questions started to get a little, well, dicey, have no fear, Super Toews was ready to interject to answer for him.

Fantino dismissed the Opposition’s criticisms as “just a red herring.”

“All of those issues were addressed, they’re addressed, it’s totally transparent and there’s no way in any way, shape or form that those criticisms were valid.”

Toews interjected as reporters tried to ask Fantino a follow-up. “Look, we’ve indicated very clearly that those numbers are going to be available to the press.”

“The by-election is over. Mr. Fantino is here. The numbers are coming,” said Toews. “Relax.”

Pressed further, Toews would only respond the tallies would be made public “soon.”

Fantino said he was “very pleased” to be “part of the Harper team with respect to supporting some of the very critical pieces of legislation going forward.”

He pointed to his policing experience and “commended” the Harper government and echoed Toews’ criticisms of the Opposition for “frustrating” the progress of government justice bills that he said would make a “significant difference” to public safety and “quality of life” in Canada.

And there ya haz it, boys ‘n’ girls.   Yes, I wonder how Stevie Spiteful will show his appreciation to Super Toews, given that it seems likely that ol’ Fantino could well get Super Toews’ job. Oh dear!  Also, there are rumours going around that ol’ Vic may not be running in the next federal election.

Just for extra good measure, enter Stevie’s pitbull, Baird, who’s contradicting ol’ Vic and saying all is just honky dory with the world.

Conservative House leader John Baird adopted an entirely different tone Tuesday, saying he was “very pleased” the government had successfully passed “a good number of justice bills” this fall and had had a “very productive session.”

Good boy,  Baird!

So, Julie-Pooh Fantino needs a babysitter, Super Toews takes that thankless responsibility, probably in hopes of keeping on Master Steve’s good side and puts on the doom and gloom about the evul soft on crime opposition & fends the media off over G8/G20 costs and Pitbull Baird saves the day.

When/if  Fantino takes Super Toews’ job, Who will babysit him, next?

I wonder how well ol’ Fantino will do during a general election campaign, given Stevie nor his minions will have the time or manpower to make sure he’s being a good boy on the campaign trail in Vaughan.
