Cheryl Gallant Dives Head First To Join Fellow Fetus Fetishist MPs

Move over Stephen Woodsworth! Heeere’s Cheryl!!  Cheryl Gallant, who often shits where she eats,  let’s out a doozy today.   In fact, if that’s even possible, she sounded wackier than Michelle Bachman.

Conservative MP Cheryl Gallant is getting herself into hot water again, this time drawing a parallel between abortion and the beheading of an American man working in Iraq.

Never mind that she implies that American men’s lives are more valuable than other people.  Where the hell did she come up with that?

Stevie Spiteful, of course, feigns indifference.

Stephen Harper responded immediately from Calgary, but refused to condemn his MP’s remarks.

“Cheryl Gallant is a very strong pro-life MP, and this is the rhetoric that the pro-life movement often uses,” Harper told reporters in Calgary. “It’s their business. I don’t think it’s particularly effective in changing public opinion.”

Hmm,  any bets as to whether ol’ Stevie gave his blessing before stepford MP opened her clap trap? Given that his puppets most likely don’t even have a bowel movement without his OK, I am willing to bet that, behind closed doors, Stevie Spiteful is probably thinking to himself, “Atta Girl!”

Let’s remember that Stevie hisself said he would ‘allow free votes on private members’ bills, taking steps to criminalize abortion:

“I will not be making free votes and private member’s legislation more difficult than it is already.”

Bull-shit! Gritchik put it best:

And for those of you Conservative sycophants who are going to tell me Harper can’t control PMBs, that’s bullshit. Don’t suggest for one moment that if a Tory MP wanted to table a PMB ending tax breaks and financial hand outs to companies like, say, Caterpillar, he or she wouldn’t be relegated to the back benches faster than you could say “busty hookers.”

That was pretty evident when two Harpercons from urban ridings were overheard on an elevator bitching about being whipped into voting for Candy “Getchergun” Hoeppner’s private member’s bill, to kill the long gun registry in 2010.  Need I say more?

Oh, and let’s remember Cheryl’s other bigoted, ignorant comment last Saturday:

the Ottawa-area MP said she thinks Canada’s newly amended hate law — which added “sexual orientation” to the list of groups protected from hate propaganda — should be changed back.

“The danger in having sexual orientation just listed, that encompasses, for example, pedophiles,” Gallant said. “I believe that the caucus as a whole would like to see it repealed.”

Oh Stevie! Will you also allow ‘free votes’ on private members’ bills repealing same sex marriage or any form of  LGBT rights?  We already know he doesn’t like legalized same sex marriage.
“Regarding sexual orientation or, more accurately, what we are really talking about, sexual behaviour, the argument has been made … that this is analogous to race and ethnicity…. (For) anyone in the Liberal party to equate the traditional definition of marriage with segregation and apartheid is vile and disgusting.”
And this goody:
“It will come as no surprise to anybody to know that I support the traditional definition of marriage as a union of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others, as expressed in our traditional common law.”
Any questions? Still think Stevie Spiteful will quash abortion debate or continue to allow same sex marriage?
As to the abortion question, boys ‘n’ girls, let’s not forget Senator Nancy Ruth’s “Shut the fuck up!” melt down, which hinted that our reproductive rights could be, at the very least, restricted.
“shut the f— up” or risk Prime Minister Stephen Harper taking even more harsh measures – abroad, or maybe even at home if abortion becomes an election issue. (emphasis mine)
