I have had some very sad news today. BC. Mary has passed away.
The Legislature Raids was one of the first blogs I found. I followed it religiously as she tenaciously followed the Crime of the Century, the theft of BC Rail by Gordon Campbell and the now infamous raid on our Legislature by the RCMP, followed by the subversion of justice that unfolded in our courts. Gripping day by day coverage was peppered with anecdotal love for our Province and insightful links to relevant information.
We are a pretty tightknit group of bloggers in BC. We share a passion for this place that is not easy to describe to people in writing. I think the last decade of corruption in BC and the flagrant disregard of the Press out here has been a catalyst for BC Bloggers to connect, sharing links and stories, promoting eachother and helping those groundbreaking stories go viral when they need to. BC Mary was the hub of that wheel.
Tonight, let us mourn the passing of the beautiful BC Mary, may she rest in Peace.
