Blogging SupposiTory Jojo Blue Like You Would Like Us All To Know She Doesn’t Want Rights

Yes, and she’s probably staring in the mirror at her tear stained blouse about now and thinking that the Winnipeg Free Press‘s Robert Marshall & Julian Fantino are her heroes and Justin Trudeau and his Dad are such terrible ogres. Before I go on, let’s take a look at an excerpt, shall, we?

The Charter is a document with wide-ranging influence that is supposed to protect all. The fact is that while most Canadians never have cause to avail them themselves of Charter protection, there are crooks and thugs who do it on a daily basis and it’s that corner where Fantino zeroes in. The corner where victims of horrible crimes get lost in the legal shuffle while active criminals get showered with benefits and safeguards that defy reason and thwart any notion of fairness.

Oh dear! Oh, how little you know, you ignoramous buffoon. I will get into that later.

Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff would be wise to bring the Trudeau sprout, and heir apparent to the Liberal reins, back into line. That is unless Iggy supports the clear insinuation that police unilaterally select whose rights they will respect and whose they will trample.

Uh,  hello? The police already do that. It’s called racial profiling. The court system does it too…it’s called discrimination between the rich and the poor. It’s simple. If you don’t have much money or only have an overworked, underpaid legal aid lawyer, you get bare bones justice, unless you’re lucky enough to have a lawyer who’s taken your case for altruistic reasons. If you have money, such as organized criminals, like the Hell’s Angels or the Mafia, well, that buys you some pretty creative lawyering.

Now, I’ll agree that while the Liberals needed to go on the attack while campaigning in Vaughan, Justin Trudeau did take the wrong line of attack, simply because it came after it became known that the Liberals had chosen Fantino first, thus, showing that the Liberals, themselves, were only luke warm to the Charter of Rights these days themselves. Also, it came off as sour grapes.

However, I’m tired of these shrieking buffoons, yet again, pushing misinformation and further facilitating a Canada that is already becoming increasingly dangerous as a whole. And no, not because of unreported crime.

You see, in Jojo’s (as well as the world according to Marshall and Fantino) world, they are ignorant of the Charter of Rights, seeming to think that it only pertains to criminal law, thus, no one but the criminals and their lawyers have use for it.  Really? Perhaps they need to learn to read further.  Below are some supreme court case rulings based on this Charter, which, by the by, is not solely authored by Pierre Trudeau, but had been modified over the years.

The Supreme Court of Canada rendered its first decision on the Charter in 1984, in the Skapinker case. Over a period of 15 years, the Supreme Court has rendered more than 360 rulings on the Charter. Former Chief Justice Brian DICKSON said that the advent of the Charter was the most important event since the adoption of federalism in 1867. The Supreme Court has been up to the task and its work has been well regarded. Many of the rulings have been landmark decisions, eg, Québec’s BILL 101 CASE (French-language Charter); BARTLE(right to counsel); BC Motor Vehicle Act (procedure and substantive law); BIG M DRUG MART (the Lord’s Day Act violates the freedom of religion); CASLAKE (search and seizure); COOK (application of the Charter); COOPER(court of competent jurisdiction); FINTA (war crimes); FORD (freedom of expression and Bill 101 in Québec);GÉNÉREUX (judicial independence); GODBOUT (right to privacy); Hebert (right to silence); HUNTER Southam (unreasonable search and seizure); KEEGSTRA (freedom of expression and hate literature); KINDLER (death penalty); MAHE (minority-language school rights); CRUISE MISSILE CASE (the Executive Branch of the State is bound by the Charter); NOVA SCOTIA PHARMACEUTICAL SOCIETY (theory of the imprecision); OAKES CASE(presumption of innocence, and limitation clause in s1 of the Charter); PEI Reference (judicial independence);RJR MACDONALD (criminal law and tobacco); RODRIGUEZ (assisted suicide); SCHREIBER (application of the Charter); SINGH (fundamental justice and the right of a refugee to be heard); STINCHCOMBE (disclosure of evidence); STILLMAN (administration of justice, exclusion of evidence and DNA tests); SWAIN (criminal law);TRAN (right to an interpreter); Valente (judicial independence); VRIEND (equal rights); and ZUNDEL (freedom of expression and hate propaganda). Article 35 (native rights) was amended, and article 28 (sexual equality), article 40 (compensation for education and culture) and article 59 (language rights in Québec) were added in November 1981, after the constitutional conference, before the Resolution was finally adopted by the federal Houses and sent to the UK as part of the patriation process.

I realize I’m wasting finger strength at my keyboard here since I think we pretty much know that most don’t give a rat’s ass about the rest of the 1982 Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but I simply wanted to illustrate how this charter does indeed affect all of us, even if we are fortunate enough to never have to be embroiled in some court case or another.  Jojo, you would do well to remember that if you can get your nose out of that Harlequin Romance equivalent known as Christy Bitchford’s book for two minutes.  Sorry, the Charter isn’t a pop-up book.

It seems that Marshall and that robocop he is featuring, Peter Russell, in that Winnipeg Free Press article  seems to also have a problem with The Young Offenders’ Act. So do many, it would seem. Let me ask, would you rather these kids be locked up with adults who are hardened criminals where they will learn to be better criminals, more hardened, less empathetic?  Or would you rather they get rehabilitated while they’re still young enough so they can actually grow up to be productive, contributing  members of society?

Yes, Jojo would like us all to know that she would like to go back to a time where women had no rights except to obey their husbands & be barefoot and pregnant; where children are no longer offered basic protections;  where no one dares to speak against her “oh so dreamy Stevie”  & his disciples;  a world where about 20 innocent people are locked up without due process just to make sure they get the guilty party;  where your home can be broken into on the whims of law enforcement to search without a warrant;  to have your phones tapped anytime at the whims of law enforcement; no rights or expectation of privacy; and…get ready for it…no freedom of speech (yeah, I know, you’re a Harpercon cheerleader and in the world according to you, Jojo Blue & your ilk, that is the only speech that should be allowed, but there may come a time that even King Steve will displease you); innocence until guilt is proven, although that is already pretty much going out the window.  So, Jojo, when Stevie Spiteful gets his coveted majority and scraps the Charter, because that’s precisely what he’ll do, I  don’t want to hear any complaints outta you and your corner when any of your rights that were once guaranteed to you under the charter when they start getting infringed, because of the absence of such a charter. And yes, when there will be no more charter, everyone becomes a target.

What is frightening is it’s already starting to happen. And boys ‘n’ girls, we can’t only blame any government or political party.  Governments facilitated this because the apathetic and/or frightened majority allowed them to get away with it. Simple as that. What happened at the G20 is a classic example.  We had seen over time that most, including those in Toronto, felt that not only the cops did a fine job, but that they didn’t crack enough heads open.  Even more terrifying is that these very same people do not wish to be educated and informed properly; when we attempt to do so, it comes off as “elite” or “arrogant”, like Jojo’s screed today has demonstrated.  In all honesty, I don’t know how this problem can be corrected, but I know that it somehow must, before we enter this so-called fascist utopia that the right slanted media, Julian Fantino, Peter Russell, this Marshall and many of the Clogging SupposiTories are feverishly promoting.

Oh, and before someone tells me that my own Belle province never  signed into it, we have our own version.

As for Justin Trudeau, Jojo, get a grip. He made a goof which more than likely didn’t affect the Vaughan by-election result one way or another, anyway. He more than likely does believe in the Charter of Rights, thus, I think he was sincere in his own beliefs when he made that campaign ad. However, unfortunately, he happens to be a member of a party that must pander to those who, due to their stubborn determination to remain misinformed and frightened of their own shadows, can’t really promote such things.  It’s probably one of the reasons the Liberals courted Fantino in the first place, an attempt to shed their reputation, thatnks Harpercons’ propoganda of the Liberals being ‘soft on crime’ or media buffoons like Lorrie Goldstein’s “hug a thug”.   Thus, the ad came off more as sour grapes more than anything else.  But I digress…

But that’s not what you’re blubbering at, is it?  No, you’re blubbering because you know that the young Trudeau could one day lead the Liberal party and he’s probably strong enough to get a Liberal majority once again, that’s why you want Iggy to put a muzzle on him, is it?

And to the Liberal party – please keep him on a short leash and out of the limelight for now.  It will be better for everyone.

Better for whom, exactly, dear sweet  innocent Jojo Blue? The Liberal party? The other opposition parties?   Sane Canadians? Or for the shrieking masses like you who are so looking forward to a Stevie Spiteful totalitarian regime?

As for the rest who long for the days of no Charter of Rights, careful what you wish for.

Boys ‘n’ girls, if we want our Charter of Rights to actually mean something again, it will be up to us to make more of an effort to make sure this happens. But, like with anything else we may wish to have, it won’t happen under the Harpercon regime; especially under a King Steve majority.  Let’s get them out of office first.

Robert Marshall is a security consultant and former Winnipeg police detective.
Enough said. He relies on fear to make a living. Nevermind that crime is actually down in Canada. I do expect a blip upwards now that we are living under Tory times.

  • Hah! “Sorry the Charter isn’t a pop-up book” … that’s about the level of these idiots isn’t it? “Oh! Look at that! I have the right to vote!”

Try and stop one of these morons from spreading their vile hatred, ala Coulter and the first thing they do is scream that their rights have been violated. I wonder just where do they think that these rights come from if not the charter.

Yes, I think Justin T could be scary to the Tories. He’s intelligent, well spoken, definitely knows Canada from A-Z — and shows a good bit of the Trudeau fire, just once in a while. Later – there will be more.
