A Choking on my Coffee Moment With Laughter

I have to learn to not read funny, ironic things in the news while sipping my coffee or anything else for that matter.

It appears that (quelle surprise) the Greek parliament accepted yet another futile bail out package in exchange for even more useless draconian austerity budget.  Naturally, Greek citizens are in an uproar in protest. Good for them. I only wish we would be in a more protesting kinda mood. Sadly, over here, while Stevie Spiteful threatens to cut OAS, seniors will still likely vote for ol’ Stevie come 2015. Anyhow, that’s not what I was laughing at.

“Vandalism and destruction have no place in a democracy and will not be tolerated,” Papademos told parliament.

Uh, Mr. Papdemos,  as a prime-minister who wasn’t democratically elected, it’s pretty rich hearing you lecture about democracy, implementing undemocratic draconian austerity measures, demanding folks who didn’t have anything to do with this economic crisis,  to suffer while those who caused this mess continue to live without consequence.
