Since many polls have been coming out pretty much saying “none of the above” for prime minister if an election were held today, and inspired by Margaret Atwood’s column in the Sun Media where she has specifically told readers that she, like probably many Canadian voters, is a swing voter; meaning she’ll vote for whomever she feels best represents her interests and would be accountable at the time of the given election, even if that meant voting for a turnip.
Off the cuff, I was inspired to start a facebook group called “Vote for Margaret Atwood’s Turnip for Prime Minister of Canada” just for fun. Anything goes, really. Federal politics, these days, along with much of corporate media, is these days, to say the least, depressing. We can all use a little humour.
I also thought, out of curiosity and for the shear fun and silliness of it, I would add a poll. I hope that you could humour a humble scribe.
Do read Margaret Atwood’s column! She does debunk myths, although, stay away from the comment boards, those screeching monkeys will never change.
Happy Sunday, All!!
