Former MP Helena Guergis is suing Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Conservative MPs Shelly Glover and Lisa Raitt, the Conservative Party of Canada and a number of other individuals for defamation and other claims.

I think I see another reason why Helena was dumped by Harper:

… Guergis’s campaign refused HarperCON in the Reform Party’s (new Conservatives) election money “transfer” – aka the In-Out scheme.

Lisa Raitt is the story.
And Helena knows it.
Whatever it takes to bring Harpo & Co. down, I’m all for it.
If this lawsuit doesn’t bring in to sharp focus what a miserable sob he is, I don’t know what will.
Why is it so difficult to find out personal info about him? School marks transcripts, social history, military(?) background etc.
After writing the post, I feel a little bad about being so flip. The more I think about it, Guergis has every right to sue. I’m still sceptical of the result but the show will be something to behold. Helena may never see a cent (then again maybe she will) but the media attention will be spectacular. No matter how hard the Conservative-dominated media will try and the more this case is exposed to the public the worse Harper and the Conservatives will look.

The way I see it is that Helena Guergis has nothing left to lose at this stage of her life. She was wronged & more than likely defamed. Why not sue? You’re probably right, she may not get one penny from this. However, you have to admit, it takes moxy goin’ after the dictator hisself. She’s fighting back and probably the only former Harpercon to do so. I wish her luck.
Who knows? With the coverage this law suit will surely get, we may learn other new Harpercon secrets. Bad ones that ol’ Steve would prefer stay in his closet with the skeletons.
