To celebrate, Globe editors put aside their crutches and patronizing air to low five each other over cocktails and wienies. No report on the obligatory congratulatory call from Stephen Harper although rumours of an army of nurses in attendance have yet to be established.

So, the G&M figures Harper’s majority is worthy of being the story of the year. Hah, hah! You’re joking, right? Then again, the G&M isn’t known for its intelligence. I subscribed to it for a couple of months to see if it was worth the paper it was printed on. It wasn’t. It is so biased and hypocritical it’s nauseating.
Then, I found out from one its carriers that the weekend G&M is printed on Thursday and shipped over here on Friday morning. So, for all you weekend subscribers, if you read Thursdays paper you won’t have to read Friday and Saturdays edition.
Who cares what the G&M thinks?
I have no problem with that. This is a saga that began in 1987 with the creation of the Reform Party, and took fully 24 years to play out.
Love or hate their policies, it demonstrates how work and commitment to a cause can bear fruit.
