Gawd! The Harpercon media and the Blogging SupposiTories still can’t let go, can they? They are still calling for Libby Davies to resign over her remarks criticizing Israel. Dr Jabba the Roy isn’t quite over it. But then, Dr Jabba the Roy seems to believe the Liberals and NDP have already merged, in spite of the fact that even Chretien has denounced it.
Anyhow, on to the question. I don’t recall Harpercon gun-happy MP Garry Breutkreiz being forced to resign when he suggested Iggy should be beaten black and blue (yeah! Yeah! The ol’ gun nut’s flunkie got blamed for it; he’s gone now; how conveeenient!). Don’t know about you, but suggesting bodily harm coming to an opposition leader seems a lot more harmful than somebody criticizing Israel.
What if a Harpercon MP publicly spoke of Islam bashing or made some other insidious remarks about Islam; would Steve fire him? Of course not! He’d probably reward him somehow.
I thought cons were supposed to be big fans of absolute free speech.
Harper and Islam are an interesting subject.
Harper, Israel, endtimes philosophy and
prophecy fulfillment engage Harper to the point
of obsession.
Let no one speak of Palestine within earshot
of the fearsome leader.
What Breitkreuz said about Ignatieff doesn’t bother
Harper since it doesn’t involve the Conservative
party platform, or religion. It’s just one man
speaking out about another–just like Randy White
and Art Hanger.

you’re right about Breitkreuz, still a real leader wouldn’t allow a memo to come out of an MP’s office threatening bodily harm. Hell, if I threatened to hurt someone bodily on my blog, I have no doubt that sooner or later, I’m going to find the police at my home and/or my place of work.
