We want a Provincial Election! Now!

Dear Christy Clark;
The people of BC want an election to be held, as soon as is possible.
Your Cabinet is operating without a mandate from the people.  The people of BC have no confidence in your ability to govern in our best interest.  You have continually fudged budget forecasts to suit the election cycle.  You have bankrupted several Crown Corporations and stolen money from others.  You have used accounting methods that are questionable and unacceptable.  You have lied to the people of BC with every promise, from having a timely election, to restoring our tax system and providing fiscally responsible economic and environmental leadership.  You have eliminated thousands of middle class jobs.  You have destroyed our social networks and our public service.  You have turned your back on our Judicial system and it’s dysfunction at the same time you pledge support for Harper’s stupid crime bill and worst of all, you have failed miserabley the children of this province who live in poverty.
You say “families first”, but maybe you meant “well connected Liberal supporters who donate most heavily to the cause families”?  Evidence on the ground, or your Joe Sixpack crowd, Christy is that they are out of work.  Because of you.  Construction has ground to a halt in this province, as everyone crosses their arms and juts out their chin in defiance of your paralysis on the HST.  Bars and restaurants are closing their doors, too exhausted and broke to continue fighting a decade of neoLiberal policy.  Hydro workers are being laid off by the hundreds, on the ground, front line workers who battle the weather to keep your power on, at the beginning of an unpredictable winter, meter readers who are often instrumental to providing a lifesaving link in the rural communities.  Public Health Nurses, for Christ’s Sake Christy, are you out of your freakin’ mind?  How is that family friendly or job friendly to axe the frontline health staff who save lives on a regular basis, while at the same time you are offering Christmas Sugarplums to your bridemaids husband?
The people of BC want an election.  Now.
PS.  Campaign on your own money.  Until every child in BC is lifted out of poverty, or until you show us your plan and give us a chance to vote on it, you have no legitimacy in this Province to make executive decisions.  Call an election.  Or we, the people, will call it for you.

The political systems in North America are completely corrupt. The politician’s are working for Corporate Interests and seem to hold the general populace (their bosses) in complete contempt. I would have thought that once Gordo was basically forced to step down that maybe the Liberal Party would pull up their socks somewhat.. sadly that has not been the case. They need to get out and the sooner the better… Christy Clark should be ashamed of herself …

We need to start a campaign and make it viral. The number one issue in BC is the Corruption and breach of Public Trust! We need an election!

2:00 pm today Kim! I’ll be down at Centennial Square for the Occupy Victoria General Assembly meeting, with my bullhorn, to say word for word what you wrote above. I think the whole province needs to hear it. I will be encouraging people to video it and put it on Youtube in hopes that it WILL go viral!! Thanks for your permission to be your very loud voice.

Christy will not call an election, she knows she will lose. Christy already said, no election until 2013.

Harper and Campbell pretty much dismantled BC. Campbell thieved our assets and sold them. Destroyed our mill industry. He thieved our tax dollars for his own benefit. He went to work for Harper, and the HST was forced onto the BC people. BC has vast natural resources. However, the resources are of no benefit to the BC citizens.

The American company’s, winning contracts bring their own workers with them, such as the tear down of the smelter in Kitimat. The Chinese are sending their people to school, to learn English, they will work the coal mines. The ship building company is SeaSpan, another American company. They could possibly bring their own experienced, American ship builders with them too.

Of the seven mines going into Northern BC. Who knows if they are foreign owned, they may bring their own miners.

We can’t even get an answer from Harper, why can Canadians save up to 50% by, shopping in the U.S. Why is gasoline so much less expensive in the U.S.? There is really something that stinks about that. Probably they donate big bucks to Harper, to favor them.

We are hearing revenue’s are down in BC. People are spending billions, shopping in the U.S. Most of the BC citizens can’t afford to shop anywhere. Family’s can’t make it to their next paydays. They are using their credit cards to bridge the gap.

As citizens of BC, we don’t even know what a decent, fair government is anymore. We don’t even have a decent P.M. We have media that aren’t, just propaganda machines for the government.

We went to war, so we wouldn’t have dictatorship in Canada. Well, we are living in one right now, today.

Gloria, you are well versed in the reality we face.

Our jobs as citizens is to apply pressure on the government by educating eachother. Side by side, standing together, we have to insist that our country become a functioning democracy.

Thank you for insisting on speaking the truth. That’s why we blog and that’s why we share the truth of citizen journalists across this country!
