Oh my, Mary T, Are You Lobbying for a ….Totalitarian Regime?

Mary T is a commenter over at Unambiguously Ambidextrous. Usually, her comments at Romper Roomie pages are quite amusing. This latest one is of course, no exception.

We need an election to get rid of most of the opposition, non party status for the libs would be nice.

Writing about an insignificant shrieking commenter who doesn’t seem to have the intelligence to blog, would not even be on my to do list, except  like the video below, was it just a dumb comment without thinking? Or did she know exactly what she commented on? Without opposition parties or any opposition of significance, we would have a totalitarian regime. What’s worse is I think she expresses the views of a lot of folks who have been yanked on St-Stevie’s sharp right turn: they don’t want to see a strong opposition. Remember how Iggy got lambasted last fall for dropping the gauntlet when he said he would not support the gov’t any further? Or the coalition in 2008? And of course, torturegate….

Scary times! What’s even scarier are folks like Mary T who go all Sarah Palin-Fox News in the blogosphere. Boys and girls, she’s a Canuck! Are Canadians thinking more and more like the tea-bagger hit parade.

They whine for the nanny state to back off but they have no problem with the idea of a totalitarian regime.  Anyone care to tackle this one?

I wonder if Mary T will stop by?
