To Use the Harpercon Cheerleader Logic–Montrealers! No More Habs Games For You!!

That also goes for out of towners who are Montreal Canadiens fans; especially if they make it into the play offs.

All I’ve been hearing from the Harpercon cheerleaders and the law and order sheeple is that the peaceful protesters should have left as soon as they saw trouble coming or better still, shouldn’t have been out there in the first place. They have been ramming down everyone’s throats that they’re all scum who are spoiled brats who live in their parents’ basements who never worked a day in their lives and have zero concept of the real world.  We hear them give crooked police chief a by for his lies because he kept Toronto safe from these ‘anarchists’; that it was ok to suspend human rights and yes, police brutality was most certainly justified.

Well, commenter Fillibluster reminds us that:

A few windows smashed. A few bait cars set on fire (one by what looks very much like a cop). Big deal. Montreal after a hockey game gets a lot worse then that and police don’t totally suspend the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

She’s absolutely right. As a Montrealer, I can attest to that. That part of the downtown area surrounding the Bell Center is always at risk of being under siege at play-off time if the Habs make them for as long as they hold up. To add to this, there are restaurants and sports bars with big screen tvs carrying home and away games around the Bell Center. In fact, the away play off games were selling tickets to go watch on large screen tvs at the Bell Center.

One observation about the looting, vandalizing and burning of police cars following these games that should give pause for thought; they do seem awfully more haphazard than the Black Bloc were in Toronto: just sayin’…

Another observation is that civil rights are never suspended, as Fillibluster mentioned.

Well, Harpercon cheerleaders and other like minded thinkers; are these rambunctious Habs fans all scum of the earth who never worked, live in their parents’ basement and have no concept of the real world? I mean, why don’t they just simply watch the games at home on their own tvs? Better still, why don’t they get a job?  They shouldn’t be out and all concentrated in one area. Why that’s just asking for trouble!  And how dare they stick around those who break windows and/or burn cop cars! What? They couldn’t get out, because those narrow streets were just wall to wall with people! Why that’s no excuse, you ruffians!!
