I remembered Mary-Jo Eustice slicing Ken Kostick on “What’s For Dinner?” years ago. I’m not sure whether I found their antics or the recipes more entertaining. It was fun watching Mary-Jo play straight man to Ken. It wasn’t just a typical technical cooking show, nor was it a show with somebody trying to be funny with tossing their ingredients in the air or something like that. One thing I did like was the recipes were simple enough and the ingredients weren’t all that obscure as one would find on other cooking shows.
He would go on to host other cooking shows for the Food Network, write cook books, and host a radio show, “What’s For Breakfast?” on 103.9 PROUD FM. Kostick most recently co-hosted “He said, She said” on W network.
Ken Kostick has died yesterday of pancreatitis at age 58 his partner and business manager has reported. Best wishes to his partner, Desi Cabrera, his family and to all who worked with him. Rest in Peace Ken Kostick.
