To These Christian Socon Righties: It’s OK to Bully Actual Kids Simply For Being Different, But They Care About “Bullying” a Fetus??

Yes, boys ‘n’ girls, just when the Socon element can’t seem to get more ridiculous, they come out and pull more stupid Socon tricks. This latest stunt is from none other than Harpercon MP for Saskatoon-Wanuskewin, the Reverend Maurice Vellacott hisself.  Read it and giggle or weep for yourselves.  Have you finished choking on your coffee and picked yourselves up from rolling on the floor, yet? Yes, you’ve read correctly–abortion is ‘the worst form of bullying’.

Maurice Vellacott, who represents the Saskatchewan riding of Saskatoon-Wanuskewin, says abortion procedures are far worse than any schoolyard or neighbourhood bullying.

He calls it the “cruellest of ironies” that there’s no protection in Canada for fetuses at any stage of pregnancy.

“In this case, it’s in every case a terminal victim as a result of the bullying that occurs,” Mr. Vellacott said in an interview Thursday. “It seems almost too obvious to state, but it’s bullying in the worst degree.”

Now, let’s juxtapose, shall we?

The reverend’s socon friends in Ontario seem to think bullying actual children is just peachy keen jelly-bean, because apparently, anti-bullying legislation, curriculum or actions are an affront to religious beliefs.  Once again, preservation of the fetus supercedes the well-being of actual children.

Also, what about women being hassled by the fetus fetishists — sexists? But then, we wimenz are nothing more than a “left winged fringe group”, right, Stevie Spiteful?

Paging Gordo O’Connor! Could you please have a little ol’ chat with the Reverend?

  • Beijing York

I am seriously missing the days when the Reform party was focused on tax payer funded arts that offended them. Halcyon days I tell you compared to the shit we have to endure now that they are in power.

  • Apparently the post you link to about bullying isn’t open to comments anymore and as a blogger me self I can understand if that is the case any way – as to this there:

Odd that the biggest bully in the Harper government doesn’t have the cajones to come out of his closet.”

Wouldn’t you think he might have a REALLY GOOD TIME soon when he goes to Rio to obstruct the environmental get together, or will he even have time to embarrass Canada at the actual meetings!
