Governor General Up For Grabs – Update

Indeed it would appear that St-Stevie isn’t going to extend Michealle Jean’s term.  Wow! Some appreciations Steve has for the woman who provided the skirt for him to run and hide under when bad, scary things happened like a coalition government of evul soshalists and separatists were looming or when  it came to Opposition parties basically voting for an inquiry into Tortruregate.

Maybe the cost is just too high, given he had to rush during prorogation to Haiti to beat out French President Nicolas Sarkozy to return the favour.

Apparently, Rick Hansen had been approached for the job but he turned it down. I’m not that surprised after catching his last interview with sportscaster, Brian Williams where Hansen says he is planning a new Man in Motion event. That’s too bad. Something tells me he would be that non-partisan type Canada needs, especially given how much power Steve has these days.

Awhile back, there were rumors about Preston Manning being a contender. Uh oh! Wow! A Harpercon majority potentially with a Harpercon Governor general. I dunno, but isn’t  that how totalitarian regimes get started?

The Grope & Fail shot out quite a few possibilities: some of whom I confess to not knowing a whole lot about, some who I think are inappropriate due to partisan reasaons and perhaps one or two of them could be good choices, except, Stevie chooses who he thinks will work in his favour; to fit with his constant tactics, not wo would be Canada’s best interests.

Update: I just heard Richard Deschamps on CJAD news that apparently,  a Rick Hansen spokesperson has denied that ol’ Stevie even approached Rick Hansen for the job.

I knew it would be too good to be true. Please don’t let it be  Don Cherry or Preston Manning.

Another rumor circulating as a potential contender is Wayne Gretzky. Hmm, this could be a sort of gift for anyone smart enough to pick up on the hypocrisy.  Remember Harpercon attack ads regarding Iggy “just visiting” in reference to the fact that Iggy lived most of his adult life outside of Canada?  Well, doesn’t the same hold true of Gretzky? How long has he been living in the U.S. now?
