It seems that comemnter Mary T , Archie, Brad and other commenters and Blogging neo-tards feel that not only the idea of going to school at 30 years and up is a foreign concept, but they have decided to actively stalk a particular 30 year old student for getting too uppity by asking Steve some very hard questions. Read the comments and weep, I think they took lessons from the Twatsy hisself and Bocanut school of stalking.
I have just one question to these people; when you find Ms. Raimey Gallant, just what is it you’re going to do to her? Shake her up and scare her into submission in a way Master Steve would be proud?
As for going back to school past the age of 30; do I really need to explain that no, it’s not those who flunk their courses multiple times?
It is true, cons not only don’t promote education, they advocate for illiteracy and ignorance. Senator Jacques Demers must be a big hit for them.
These con. bloggers are completely nuts. cannot think for themselves anymore and have a far out imagination, that borders on insanity.
I went to journalism school at 27. I wasn’t the oldest student in my class, either. What world do these cons live in? One where people aren’t allowed to go out and improve their education past a certain age, I guess. (And in the case of women, most definitely not once they’re ripe for marryin’ off and squirtin’ out bay-beez…)
“We need her picture circulated so we can watch for her.”
Ah yes, the Sturmabteilung crawl out from under a rock.
I’m a 49 year old student. I have just finished a degree in climate studies and now working on some post grad stuff. Imagine what they would say to that.
If I want to see them turn blue in the face I tell them I am a 49 year old student that studies global warming and votes Green Party. Then if I want to see their little neo-con craniums explode from overload I inform them that I’m also a 25 year veteran of the Canadian military.

I completed a certificate a technical program at CEGEP (Quebec type of college thingey) in production coordination for the printing industry at the tender age of 39. Guess what? I was the youngest out of a small group of 8. Most of us were eitehr unemployed graphic artists (like myself), which is a highly saturated and young field in Quebec; yes, they seem to think that over 35 can’t be creative and come up with hip design concepts. Go figure.
A few in the class were film strippers; a professiong that evolving techologies rendered obsolete. It is that way with many professions and thus, require many, yes even in middle age to do training for a career change. I wonder how these connie wingnuts feel about that? Not one of them had their profession eliminated by evolving technologies? Or they injured themselves to the point they can no longer do that line of work, and thus career change would also be necessary?
Oh, when I was a student at Concordia University many years ago, there was a retired septagenarian grandmother in my Canadian history class. There was also a retired cop who had just graduated with a fine arts degree.
Anyways, again, we shouldn’t even have to dignify our career, training and/or educational choices when we’re over 30. Those connies succeeded only in reenforcing a stereotype that we’re has beens over the age of 30 as well as how stupid and bitter they are to promote perpetual ignorance.k
Brian, I wish you nothing but the best with your studies and wherever that may lead you.
