Canada Just Lost To Russia in World Junior Hockey Championships–Who’s Fault is it?

Insert joke here.  The hockey fans on Twitter (#wjhc)  appear to be handling the loss with a sense of humour.  Jokes ranging from the need for F35s to stop those Russians (oh yeah! New argument from Airshow Petey MacKay; if we had those F35s, we’d have won that hockey championship!)  to who’s to blame?

No doubt this could get some of the wanker hockey fans to blame Iggy for this. It’s pretty certain that blogging SupposiTory Iceman will; apparently, who Iggy was rooting for was eating away at his little mind today. Well, Iceman, did you have this much anguish wondering whether Stevie Spiteful was rooting for Canada or the US?

I have another question. I remember last year, following all those medals won at the Vancouver Olympics with the piece de resistance of the Men’s gold medal win over the US; the wankers were all dazzled by St Steve; why all those medals; especially the men’s hockey olympic gold was all due to him. In fact, I remembered prorogation being forgiven and his polling numbers going up. So, will his polling numbers go down? Will Steve be blamed by those very same wankers for tonight’s loss?

What would Don Cherry say given the opportunity some ask? I say he’ll be wearing his worst Liberace knock offs and of course, he’ll blame those “leftie pinkos” for this loss. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if ol’ Don Cherry would think that those “leftie Pinkos” he seems to see in his sleep were sending  mental telepathic messages to the Russians.

Gosh, folks and their hockey. Seriously though, what is the thrill of watching a bunch of grown men chasing a black disk with sticks and taking breaks to beat the crap out of each other?  Probably explains Don Cherry though. I understand helmets weren’t compulsory in the days he played?
