Stun Gun Used on an Eleven Year Old; I Guess Ritalin Wouldn’t Have Sufficed

Yes, those cops are using their stun guns on kiddies now.

Prince George RCMP used a Taser on an 11-year-old boy who was the suspect in a stabbing, the unit’s commanding officer said Friday.

Supt. Brenda Butterworth-Carr confirmed the child was hit with a conducted energy weapon (CEW)as he emerged from a neighboring property from where the attack took place Thursday.

She said that West Vancouver Police are now acting as the lead on an independent investigation into the incident.

“Members attended to the residence and when the individual emerged a conducted energy weapon was deployed by a member,” said Butterworth-Carr.

This is some scary shit. Tasers being used on kids as young as 11.  According to the news story, the kid had simply barricaded himself after the stabbing.  Some armed mounties couldn’t have apprehened the kid without the stun gun?

This is what we would have to look forward to if Stevie Spiteful were let loose with a majority; eleven year olds stun gunned and fourteen years sharing a cell with a middle-aged Big Bubbah, learning better crime techniques.  Yikes!

  • Canada is now Chicago 1968.

  • The federal government needs to treat lasers as lethal weapons–with the intention to kill. Tasers should not be used on someone who is non-compliant. Otherwise, any Canadian can be tasered if a police officer deems that a person has not complied quickly according to the officer. A sit-down peaceful protester could be tasered according to an officer.

Was the boy an imminent threat to the officers or bystanders? Was the boy approaching the officers with a knife? Was the boy throwing knives or other lethal projectiles? Was the boy ready to kill someone? If not, then the boy should not have been tasered.

An 11 year old boy couldn’t have been subdued in a less harmful manner than a stun gun by a few mounties? If so, then perhaps our mounties are in need of some serious retraining. There is never an excuse to stun gun a kid.
