Oh Peggy, Your Anti-Quebec Bias Is Showing!

Peggy Wente first goes into her commentary over Patrick Brazeau and Justin Trudeau’s boxing match last week-end and saying that Justin Trudeau would not be a good leader for the Liberals, because the west hates his dad, yadda! yadda! yadda.  Yes, I’m sure Peggy would be one of the first to go ga ga over Harpercon attack ads being the cheesiest and sleaziest, a macabre theme of the ghost of Pierre Elliot Trudeau.  Then she saves her idiot bias for last:

He’s also from Quebec, which is a fatal liability

Really, Peggy? A fatal liability? Before Stevie Spiteful,  our prime ministers with the most longevity and majority governments were from La Belle Province.  Jealous much?  I happen to think we Quebecers are fun! Certainly, more fun than you or your dreamy Stevie are.

Oh, she doesn’t let it rest, neither.

What the Liberals really need is not a handsome fellow with a famous name. They need a manly-girl from Alberta. Those gals can outpunch them all.

Who, Maggie? Danielle Smith and her boob mobile?  Yeah, ok, I’ll concede, a bus will knock down anyone.

A thought: I would like to see Peggy Wente in a boxing ring with Pauline Marois–her screeching voice would be enough to knock ol’ Peggy to the ground.

  • Peggy, and those she supports, have written off Quebec — permanently. But, like Marley’s ghost, la belle province will come back to haunt them.

I tend to agree. Nowadays, as unpopular as Pauline Marois might be, she and the Parti-Quebecois are leading in various polls. I believe that is why we’re not going to an election this spring, as the rumours suggested. I believe Daniel Paille, the new leader of the BQ is helping her in the background–she is using his talking points when he first came out of the gate upon winning leadership of the BQ. She is starting to aim her attacks at Ottawa, and saying that only she can really go up against Harper. If for nothing else, that shrill voice of her’s will certainly give Harper head-aches daily.

Daniel Paille possibly helping Marois, is, I believe, one of the main reasons he was not in a hurry to seek a seat in the HoC so fast. I suspect that after the next provincial election, we will probably hear that Louis Plamondon is retiring, thus vacating the seat for Paille to run in a by-election. Paille, in his own right, can be formidable–another Harper foe. Remember when he was hired by Harper to find spending irregularities with the Liberals and he ended up finding more damaging info on Harper instead? I also remember many Harpercon candidates whining when Gilles Duceppe announced he was running in Hochelaga in the 2009 by-election. Yep, get ready for it, once the next provincial election has been done and over with, welcome to the show!
