Sun Media Apologizing? Ezzy Too? Both Going Down, it Would Seem!

Thanks, Alheli Picazo, the author of  this article that debunked ol’ Ezzy & Sun’s myths for tweeting this beauty just a few minutes ago! A retraction & apology! Bet it’s not exactly on the front pages of their print edition, but, it’s a start.  You see, George Soros is suing Sun and ol’ Ezzy (Man! I’m surprised ol’ Ezzy hasn’t been sent to bankruptcy 10 times over at the rate he keeps getting himself sued!) for his temper tantrum on Tuesday where he grossly distorted an interview George Soros gave on 60 Minutes.  Naturally, that article has been long since removed.

Here’s some of the highlights. Nothing like starting a Saturday morning watching Sun Media eat crow:

Upon receiving a letter of complaint from Mr. Soros’s legal counsel on September 13, 2010, Sun Media Corporation always intended to publish a retraction and apology for this column. Despite constant efforts on both sides, Sun Media and Mr. Soros’s counsel were unable to reach agreement on the content of a retraction.

The management of Sun Media wishes to state that there is no basis for the statements in the column and they should not have been made.

Sun Media, this newspaper and Ezra Levant retract the statements made in the column and unreservedly apologize to Mr. Soros for the distress and harm this column may have caused to him.

Oh, it just burns! Don’t it? What a week it’s been! Widdle Kory gets canned er, I mean, resigns and is now skulking under a rock somewhere, his Twitter account even seems to have disappeared!

I predict, does anyone else predict? That ol’ Ezzy will find himself no longer having a writing gig with Sun as it appears to be that Pierre Karl Peladeau is cleaning house these days, given the departure of KKKory. Maybe they’ll all find themselves out of business. George Soros has very deep pockets and can keep this dragging for as long as he sees fit, maybe he’ll end up owning Sun Media as the court settlement?? Stranger things have happened.

Oh, and Ezzy, you know you’re a goin’ down whenen even fellow Blogging SupposiTories are now hanging you to dry!

Hmm, I wonder if Ezzy’s new book about the “ethical” (AHEM! COUGH! COUGH!) tar sands is also going to tank and compete for that 1$ bin with Kathy Shaidle? Yanno, that glorified cover letter that he will probably use to get a job as a lobbyist for the Alberta tar sands seeing that he has probably rendered himself virtually unemployable everywhere else. Because, somehow, I don’t think having a Pay Pal Begging button, as Dr Dawg puts it, is quite enough for ol’ Ezzy to sustain life in the lifestyle to which he has become accustomed.
