John Horgan to announce leadership campaign

I am very pleased to read today that John Horgan is set to announce his campaign to run for the leadership of the BCNDP tonight at a rally in his riding.  According to The Province,

Juan de Fuca MLA John Horgan will announce his entry into the leadership race at Langford’s Isabelle Reader Theatre at 7 p.m. Monday night.

I have written about Mr. Horgan here.   I thought now would be a good time to dust that posting off.  If you care to get to know the next Premier of BC, please read it.

Very excited about a good candidate coming into the election. I was horrified that Larson was getting so much attention and I’m no fan of Lali or the other unknown guy. Horgan is a breath of fresh air in what was becoming a very stale leadership race. I still hope Nathan Cullen jumps into the race. We shall see I guess.

I think Nathan Cullen is a great man to have in Ottawa. Now, imagine if Alexandra Morton were to join his team in Ottawa, along with Denise Savoie and Fin Donnelly. That would be a strong team! With John Horgan leading BC out of the darkness, it would buy us some time to strengthen democracy in general.

We have some amazing talent in our party and they are some of the hardest workers in politics. Being the third party isn’t easy and is very thankless. With people like these, the NDP will continue to punch above it’s weight.

    Thanks Logan, I agree.
