This morning I received a message from Alexandra Morton urging me to write BC’s Agriculture Minister to stop Bill C-37. I wrote about it here, in my previous post and Sixth Estate has been on it too. Here and here.
So I fired off this letter to The Agriculture Minister,
The Honourable Don MacRae
Minister of Agriculture
Re: Bill C-37
This Bill must not pass as written.
It muzzles Public Health information and destroys Freedom of Information. This Bill, if passed into law will erode public confidence in our agricultural practices.
This Government talks alot about transparency, yet its actions seek to hide the truth from the public. The actions of this Caucus will be subject to Judicial Inquiry as soon as the next election is lost. It is not too late for MLA’s to act on behalf of thier Electors and stand against the gutting of our Province. Should you take action to stop this robbery, these actions will be taken into consideration when you are judged.
The selling off of our assets and rights, the destruction of our environment and our supply of wild salmon, our right to access to our wild food supply, gutting and endebting our prized Crown Jewels and the Judicial robbery of our Public Assets in the form of Trade Agreements that allow corporations to sue the taxpayers is not only morally reprehensible, it is a Criminal Act of Treason, of Fraud and of Betrayal of the Public Trust that you signed onto when you swore your Oath.
The Bills stacked in the House (my House) right now have no validity, as this Government has no mandate. You can stand against this criminal activity by standing independantly against these criminal acts. I urge you as an Elector, as a patriot who loves her home deeply to consider my plea., if only to save your own skin.

PS. For Christy Clark, drop the Writ. Do the right thing for our sons future.
PPS. Ms. Popham. We expect so much better from your Caucus, when you are rewarded by the Electorate.. You will be charged with getting to the bottom of a lot of crimes. Going back to BC Rail. It will take courage and fortitude and a new model of police investigations and Judiciary practices. Daunting yes, but thoroughly necessary for us to regain our democracy.
This letter was cc’ed to Christy Clark and Ag Critic, Lana Popham. I have unconfirmed reports this evening that the Bill has been killed. Great work everyone, that’s one down…
At least if there is an outbreak of mad cow disease I won’t have to hear about it and can just eat my deadly steak and die in peace, thank you LIEberal assholes!
I was there in the leg, yesterday
metup with Alexandre,Anissa et al at afternoon break.
Relief and joy!
Bill 37 was “pulled” at noon.

Either way we need to work together to protect our food supply because last time I checked, it is a basic need for all Canadians. Politicians should not make everyone pay for their agenda what so ever.
