Anders Behring Breivik: a Norwegian Timothy McVeigh? UPDATED: “some kind of Oklahoma City-type” device used in explosions

Michelle Malkin, Pam Geller et al. have been screaming “Jihad” all day over the bombings in Norway.

Oops.

A right wing nationalist with an animus towards Muslims? And a Christian conservative? Oh my.

UPDATE: Breiviks’s a Pam Atlas fan! But he really has a hard on for Daniel Pipes.

UPDATE II: Here’s a PDF of Breivik’s Facebook page (it’s been shut down). He also had a single message Twitter account. On July 17, ABB wrote: “”One person with a belief is equal to the force of 100 000 who have only interests.” He had 545 followers.

UPDATE III: Looks like the comparisons to Timothy McVeigh are not that far off.

(AP) A police official has told The Associated Press that the bomb used in the attack at the Norwegian prime minister’s office was “some kind of Oklahoma City-type” device made of fertilizer and diesel fuel.

The official said it remains unclear what kind of detonator was used for the bomb, which investigators say was packed into a panel truck and killed at least seven people when it went off.

The official was speaking on condition of anonymity because the information has not been formally released.

A 4,000 pound fertilizer-and-fuel-oil bomb detonated in front of a federal building in Oklahoma City in 1995, killing 168 people.
